I swear no matter what day it is, every time I get to the gym I always just wanna run over and do Military Presses first!

I am with ya, its hard not to rationalize in my head to change the routine just to get to shoulders. It is a bit :fool2:

Upright Rows (4 sets) 105lbs 8-10 reps

I felt pretty good considering neing sick. I am very fatigued right now but am pleased with the workout. Will be heading back tomorrow for a heavy back day with deads/rack pulls. Also, cant wait as Friday is my last day of work till 1/2 due to holiday. Woo hooo more free time for the gym

arms I tried something new I was reading about in terms of my grip on BB curls, called the fake grip. Jay Cutler reccommended it where the thumb is on the underside.
BB Curls (6 sets) 105lbs 10 reps
In front hammer curls (4 sets) 50lbs 10 reps
Incline curls Facing bench (4 sets) 35lbs 15 reps
1-arm preacher machine (4 sets) 50-65lbs 8-12

Dips (4 sets) BW and BW +35lbs to failure
OVerhead DB extensions (4 sets) 80-90lbs 11 reps
1-arm reverse pulldowns (4 sets) 50lbs 12 reps

I felt good, sweating like an animal, and weighed in at 3:30pm on a full stomach at only 222lbs. That is phenomenal

Felt good, not as strong as I would have liked, but fairly solid. Weighed in at 221lbs again, however I moved another spot on my weight belt so that is better than dropping lbs. Will be back this afternoon for abs and more cardio, gotta beat Irish Cannon in our contest. Pics will be up tomorrow!!!!

Now is your chance to really get ahead of me. I've got family in town for Christmas and I know my diet schedule and training schedule will be screwed with this entire week. Not to mention that I've been so completely screwed with psychologically from poker this week. It's been a rough one.

On the bright side, I finally get to meet my nephew. He's 5 months old, so I'm real excited. My sister and brother-in-law are flying in today.

ok, so today is thelast workout before christmas. luckily for me itfalls on a tuesday this year which is my day off. So today was Cardio, Chest, Abs

Chest
Flat BB press (8 Sets) 315lbs 5 reps, 295 6 reps
Incline Flys (4 sets) 60lbs 10-11 reps
HS incline press (5 sets) 2 45's to 3 45's 8-10 reps
Cable Cross Overs (4 sets) 70-100lbs 8-10 reps

Abs
Ball Crunches 100 reps
Side Crunches 100 reps

Stomach started cramping pretty severely, as I just did abs on Saturday. Will give them another go around on Thursday. Otherwise felt great, was out and about early this am, so felt wired and sweating like a pig

I have friends just like this, kinda sad. Take a pill, eat like a pig and wonder why they are still heavy.

Very basic jog this am. About 1/2 hour, was getting a bit too cold for me. Will be back to a double tomorrow of shoulders am and legs pm. Psyched for the time off from work right now
 
How long were you sick Reaper? Did you skip any workuts? I'm fighting something real bad right now. Body aches, migranes, super stiff neck, sore throat...It's pretty bad. I'm debating skipping legs tomorrow but I usually don't do that unless I'm deathly ill, but I'm feeling it might be good for me. If nothing else, I just wont take the LR tomorrow. I don't know how that would effect me when I'm feeling this way.

for me it lasted about 4 days, and it was as you described. my wife has it now. I missed one day of cardio and abs and felt better. you might just need a rest day to calm the body down

On the second set felt a small pinch in my right shoulder so I called it a day. Will give shoulders a rest till Saturday as usual. I have already had 3 shoulder operations, no need to create a further issue. Otherwise felt pretty good. Will go back later today for more cardio and legs
 
ok I went back this afternoon a little later than I wanted to. Ended up going out with the wife and daughter and got caught in day after christmas nonsense. Also, I just got the new MD and was reading on squatting from Kai Greene, so my squats this afternoon were his wide stance, toes out

feel really good today. I bypassed dips due to the slight pain in my right shoulder. I have already had it examined months ago and know the issue, but the only option is more surgery and I am not going that route. For the surgery I need, I would need 8 months of rehab at least, and I am not doing that. Damn those years of wrestling and football, should have listened to my father as a kid and just focused on my lifting

cardio
45 minutes 15% 4.4MPH (sweating like a lunatic)

calves
standing calf raises (5 sets) 220-260lbs 15-20 reps
rotary calf extensions (5 sets) 250-270lbs 20 reps

really wanted to get a little extra work on the calves. damn chicken legs, however they looked good with a solid pump during hte 10 sets


also, really want to win the contest as they said the winner gets more free stuff

to me it depends on what you are doing on your upper body. My split is different than others, but if my bi's are sore I can still hit shoulders or chest dependant upon the day.

With regard to your cardio, whatever works. For me, I like the rapid walk at the highest incline, I burn the most calories that way. I sometimes will up the speed and jog @ 15, but since I have spoecial inserts in my shoes (yes I am evidently old) I like the rapid walk.

I think a lot of it is psychological as well. Last year I was up from 10pm until 5:30am playing a poker tournament online in the computer lab at my school. I went straight from the lab to the gym and had one of the best workouts of my life.
