I know very little about which program to use to make a .gif from a series of .jpegs. Anyone out there have some knowledge on either how to make these or where to get some software for this. I also have a Mac instead of a PC.

I use Image Magick to tie single images together into an animation, it is not exactly user-friendly however.
 
Not sure how in depth you're trying to get, but for a quick fix I have used this site: Invalid Link Removed
