Yeah, I kind of wonder about Tommy's arm too. I'd guess he's out.

I feel like I should hate Mac, but I actually find myself liking him for some reason. I really hate Vegan's too.
 
Now I'm intrigued. I was watching Fight Night last night and they ran a new promo for the upcoming show. It said that 1 of the semi finalists walks off the show.

At the end of last week's episode I had assumed someone was injured. Now that I see someone quit I don't know wtf to think. I don't see Tommy or Mac quitting. Tommy is training with Hughes right now, and I don't think he would be allowed to Matt's camp if he was a ***** like Joey in the first few episodes. What sticks out in my mind was that George looked a little intimidated by Tommy's strength after won last week.
 
That is weird. I think you're right about Tommy, Norris. They've hardly shown Arroyo so I don't know if I can judge him. George seems a little off so maybe it is him. Mac *****es a lot, but seems very professional about the sport so who knows.
 
Hmmm, I don't think George would quit, he's more in the zone than any of those guys. Maybe someone stole Mac's birdfeeder and he went to look for it.

Whoever replaces someone I know who it isn't replacing them by the fights lined up Dec 9...Unless those get changed????
 
kolosci stepped up, only to get rear naked choked again god damn it! I know he is on the fight card for Dec 9th,I really liked him on the show I hope he has improved his game though. Tommy once again wins a sloppy fight, eye poke followed by the right hand. I never thought i would say this but i hope mac chokes him the hell out in the final.

Hughes' reaction was what really pissed me off. Fighting with one eye is almost impossible and the side where George's vision was was impaired is where he was struck.
 
George made a mistake not taking the full 5 minutes IMO.

I think Mac will take this relatviely easy on Saturday. His game is better all around
 
i missed the first 10min, why did matt pull out?

whats with all these idiots giving up their chance to fight? I know to lose the weight it would make it really hard on them but come on, at least try. Maybe they all thought they had no chance against Mac or they think they will be fighting in the UFC anyway. idk.

its Georges fault he got KOd, he should have took the time. I think he would have lost either way.

Matt Serra isnt talk so much now is he? hahaha Hughes must have jizzed his pants when Tommy won lol. What did he say? "its not how you fall its who is standing in the end"? something like that.

I hope Tommy beats Mac but i highly doubt it. Mac has too much tools.

Matt had a cracked/bruised rib. They never said whether or not the doctors cleared him to fight. They made it look like the doctors were not going to stop him but just that he had no confidence that he would win.
I also agree on the George fight. 1. We really don't know how much time he took after the poke. On TV they showed 20 seconds, but in reality it may have been a few minutes. Either way he should have taken the full 5 minutes. 2. He looked scared of Tommy's takedowns.

I hope Tommy GnP Mac in the finals.
 
Hell Yeah! Glad Serra got shut up. I missed it though, and they aren't replaying it for a while. I didn't realize the finale was on Saturday.

Time to switch back to the Hughes av. :head:
 
That guy Mac beat 2x looked awful!! The fighters on this board let me ask u this. If u were in the same situation would u have fought with a cracked/burised rib?? I would have. Not saying he pussied out or anything but with the contract and money I could have paid a Dr. to fix it later lol.

He had no confidence so he would have lost anyway IMO.

Mac for the win!! I like that guy.
 
George should have definately gone on to the ground with Tommy he looked overwhelmed on his feet. Tommy was almost subed all his fights and I think George could have locked it in. Oh well he'll probably fight again but I bet he won't ever live up to his potential now. Very few fighters can come back from that kind of knockout and not be gun shy for good, except Randy C. but he's half human half cyborg, but I still have never heard him say he wants to fight chuck again.

I have to disagree. There is no way Arroyo could have won with a broken rib. You can not get past that pain. I have had deeply bruised ribs (if not cracked, I never got an X-Ray) and its fvcking painful. You can not breath or do any movenent that requires power from your core without it feeling like someone stabbing you. Fedor with a bruised rip could't beat Andy Wang. Well that may be pushing it but you get the point.

I would not have because a good body shot may have dislodged it and pierced a lung. Plus, it completely f*cks your cardio and you can't win, especially against a skilled fighter like Mac, without cardio.
 
According to Matt Hughes and Dana White, Arroyo wasn't even injured. Also according to Blake Bowman (from the show) Dana told them all "The doctors could not find anything wrong with him, he f*cking blew it".

It's a weird situation. I personally believe that Arroyo wasn't 100% and knew he couldn't beat Mac like that. Even though the doctors would have cleared him to fight and there was nothing seriously wrong with him, he had no confidence.

They should have let Roman in...that dude would have fought with a broken elbow!

I believe Roman will be on the finale on Saturday. That dude is a warrior to want to fight even though his elbow was broken. Those Armenian fighters are nuts.

He looked pretty decent sized actually, but then again you could tell that he put on unnatural weight to be at that weight. I've never seen him at LW but I think it's safe to say that at WW he was a "soft" 170. Perhaps him and Mac will meet at LW one day.

He is a small WW. Most WWs walk around in the 185-190 range, but I woul have to guess that George was in the 178 range.
