I also could not agree more...one of my favorite verses:

Matthew 7:3-5 (New Living Translation)

3 “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? 4 How can you think of saying to your friend,‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.

And commensurate quote:

"We may justly condemn ourselves as the greatest sinners we know because we know more of the folly of our own heart than we do of other people's."

-- William Law

Good stuff Wil!

I agree to a certain extent, but I don't agree with this:

Fans have created such high expectations for athletes that success seems to require steroid use for any sport requiring speed, power or a combination of the two.

No matter what expectations there are, one needs to be accountable for their own actions and pursuit. I won't accept, " I did it because of the pressure....", I think that is a bunch of crap. I want to hear the truth. "I did it because I want to be the best!"

That is the bottom line.

Sure, I don't believe in those kinds of excuses either.

To me that statement says more about why the audience/fans are so upset when they hear about athletic steroid use and not completely about the reason why athletes would choose to take steroids.

The high expectation for athletes to be natural seems to me the cause of public uproar around this topic. I think the audience wants to believe that their favorite athletes don't use steroids because they can better identify with them that way. They look up to the athletes and reason: if they're naturally accomplishing great physical feats, then that same potential must reside in myself as well. And so what are they supposed to think when they find out that someone they looked up to is not "natural."

BroadClip is free. Just started it though so no impressions yet.

"At last, listen to the music you want,
the way you want it!
Right now, music you want is playing on some of the 18,000+ radio stations on the Internet. But it's impossible to sift through the endless choices looking for your musical nirvana. BroadClip's free MediaCatcher software lets you easily find and enjoy this music on your iPod, Cell phone, or other portable media player."

If you use FireFox, DownloadHelper is a great plug-in that downloads videos, MP3's (MySpace), etc...

Or I have a stream ripper for WinAmp, but only good if I have the URL. I need an all around Stream Ripper, but I think most are $$$$$

I think gamers are a lil nuts, but that goes for any type of geeks I guess. Luckily for me I didn't start to be a geek until later in life post 26 yo....

But I guess 2 sounds sweet if you have more than 4 people over playing XBOX. My cousin is into it.....

Yes, the last thing you want are for your kids to be active. I say feed them fast food and let them play video games. Can't get enough of either...
