What's been bothering you? Wanting to vent or rant?

Are you an english teacher? Sorry if my grammer offends you.I Just try to type as fast as possible.I didnt know i was getting graded, my bad.
Is this better?

I am not your english teacher no. Your grammar does not offend me. It may very well to type fast but if people just skip your posts because they strain their eyes what have you achieved. All of us are graded by everyone who reads our posts / replies because this is the communication method on a typewritten forum.

It is much better thank you. I know people enjoy reading your posts but unless formatted generally well it makes it difficult to assimilate what you are saying.

Just trying to help you......

Much Love,

Neoborn

instead of simply throwing insults, i feel there are better ways to communicate so we can possibly come to a better understanding of each other. i have a few questions to ask you, if you care to "enlighten" me. anyone and everyone is welcome to pitch in because i am honestly interested. exactly what is or are the determining factors for determining one's maturity, naiveness, experience, wisdom, knowledge or adulthood in life?

-college education?
-yearly income?
-do they pay bills?
-experienced divorce?
-have children?
-past substance abuse?
-the amount of years they've breathed air on earth?
-how much charity they've done?
-bad relationship experience?
-bankruptcy?
-bad financial periods?
-what kind of vehicle they drive?
-do they own a home?

-

Me?

-college education? - Yes after waiting ten years to get it because everytime I almost got there I lost my job or something f'd up.

-yearly income? - $30,000 currently

-do they pay bills? - I do yes

-experienced divorce? - Not myself but my parents yes

-have children? - One in England that I don't look after etc

-past substance abuse? - Yes Marijuana abuse for years,
Cigarrettes, Alcohol for about 6 months, Butane, Fat, Sugar, Salt.

-what kind of vehicle they drive? Now 2004 TDI Golf, Mazda 3.

-do they own a home? - Finally with the help of the parents in law / wife.

You see tho cardiff, its not a simple draw a line in the sand. taking your view to the extreme as well, you shouldn't be using electricity in your home as there are people who don't have electricity. Or you shouldn't use the internet as half the planet cant. Or give up on health and dental care? Perhaps living in a small village growing your own food, living in a grass hut? Thats how 1/3 of the worlds population mostly lives. Is it uncompassionate to live better than 2 billion people on the globe?

There is no black and white in this area, it is all shades of grey in the middle. How much of your income goes to what a Sudanese refugee would consider luxury items? I'm willing to guess pretty close to 100%. So we each have to decide in ourselves where that line is, and how much of our own efforts we want to go to others. I regularly donate blood, as its something i can do to help out the community, it is a rather local effect tho.

Saying someone isn't compassionate because they'd rather spend what they earned through their own efforts on luxuries for themselves rather than spending it on others isn't entirely accurate. Is what taxes get used to fund government programs a part of compassion? Is spending the money I make on consumer goods compassionite as it helps create jobs, particularly restaurants and other service type spending?

The best response in this thread :head:

-college education? Nope. Started working the family business when I was 14.
-yearly income? Not much more than about $35K/y
-do they pay bills? Other than the regular, gas, electricity, cell phone, and truck payment I have no bills really.
-experienced divorce? Yes. Best thing I've ever done.
-have children? No.
-past substance abuse? Alcohol, but it was short lived.
-the amount of years they've breathed air on earth? Almost 33.
-how much charity they've done? I tend to help myself before others. I'm in just as much need to achieve my goals in life.
-bad relationship experience? Yes. I'm divorced remember?
-bankruptcy? Never. Not even one late payment in 15 years. My credit score is in the top 5%
-bad financial periods? Some, but I never get over extended.
-what kind of vehicle they drive? '06 Tundra.
-do they own a home? I did. I traded it in the divorce for my chocolate lab. She stole her, hid her, then the judge awarded the dog to me because it was being used as a bargaining tool. I would have gladly taken my dog and left the day she told me she wanted a divorce. I would have signed everything over, took what clothes I had on my back and left it all, if I could have taken my dog with me.

I'm interested to see others replies :) It's kewl to find out where you guys have been in life.

MS just so you know in any world stands for MicroSoft!

:D

It's kewl to see that from those of us who chose to reply that we have similar backgrounds in many ways....

Not that I'm pointing the finger, charity can be done without money...there is time, a can of food, a kind email / mail. Money is just an easy way to have someone else do your charity for you. I do that too :)

Much Love,
