Like I said wasn't a criticism, just curious. I had seen a label saying that it contained 90 caps. Looking forward to the product.

I'd run it during your cycle and in to PCT, but that's just me.

I noticed that too. Futile. DCP v1 has too good a reputation and with your reputation, most know that DCP 2.0 will be even better.

People are ridiculous with these loyalty bandwagons. Any opportunity I get, I always show my support for the other supplement companies. Sure, there's a time and a place for competition, but leaving poor reviews for a product you haven't tried is unwarranted.

What's even more ridiculous is that when the companies that these people support start including some of the very same innovative ingredients used in DCP 2.0 in their products, somehow the reviews will be 5 stars all around w/raving reviews.

I don't care what company released the product, if it looks like a good product and is backed by good science, I am willing to try it and support that company if it works for me. It just so happens that, for me, there are a few that hit the nail on the head more than the others (ie any company Matt formulates for, E-pharm, EBF, PES, Omega Sports)

I'm not trying to play devil's advocate here but what about the others who voted and gave the product a 5 star review with out even trying the product yet? Isn't that the same? It's really a shame either way because you have the haters and the nut huggers voting without even trying the product and giving it a fair chance.

I really am looking forward to reading some honest unbiased reviews soon to see if this is a good product or not.

Absolutely. I'm not a fan of either. Shame that's how it goes on retail sites though. I think that's why AM ended up putting up the "Product Review" section.

New study posted.....it would be a VERY good idea to combine DCP with Vanillean.

Pflugers Arch. 2013 Apr 21. [Epub ahead of print]
Dietary capsaicin prevents nonalcoholic fatty liver disease through transient receptor potential vanilloid 1-mediated peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor δ activation.

    Li Q, Li L, Wang F, Chen J, Zhao Y, Wang P, Nilius B, Liu D, Zhu Z.
    Source

Center for Hypertension and Metabolic Diseases, Department of Hypertension and Endocrinology, Daping Hospital, Third Military Medical University, Chongqing Institute of Hypertension, Chongqing, 400042, China.

    Abstract

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is characterized by hepatic lipid deposition and coincides often with cardiometabolic diseases. Several dietary factors attenuate NAFLD. Here, we report beneficial effects of chronic dietary capsaicin intake on NAFLD which is mediated by the transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) activation. The results showed that TRPV1 activation by capsaicin reduced free fatty acids (FFAs) induced the intracellular lipid droplets in HepG2 cells and prevented fatty liver in vivo. Chronic dietary capsaicin promoted lipolysis by increasing hepatic phosphorylated hormone-sensitive lipase (phospho-HSL), carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1 (CPT1), and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor δ (PPARδ) in wild-type (WT) mice. This effect was absent in TRPV1-/- mice. Dietary capsaicin did not affect lipogenesis, as indicated by the detection of hepatic fatty acid synthase (FAS), sterol regulatory element-binding protein-1 (SREBP-1), PPARα, and liver X receptor (LXR) in mice. Importantly, TRPV1 causes PPARδ activation which significantly increased the expression of autophagy-related proteins, such as light chain 3 (LC3)II, Beclin1, Atg5, and Atg7 in HepG2 cells. In the in vivo study, TRPV1 activation by dietary capsaicin enhanced hepatic PPARδ and autophagy-related proteins and reduced hepatic enzymes and inflammatory factor in WT but not TRPV1-/- mice. TRPV1 activation by dietary capsaicin prevents NAFLD through PPARδ-dependent autophagy enhancement in mice. Dietary capsaicin may represent a beneficial intervention in populations at high risk for NAFLD.

Fun. Lotta awesome implications in the research, if you're willing to connect the dots. My thesis is on the interplay of nuclear receptors with proliferation/regeneration pathways. Very fascinating, especially in the liver, intestine and macrophages of all things.

More research indicating activity of PPAR delta and osteoblasts. Again I will be working up a more in-depth writeup to cover the interplay between the PPAR-delta angle and Carnitine Fumarate choice for DCP 2.0 as the month continues.

    Abstract

Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs) act as metabolic sensors and central regulators of fat and glucose homeostasis. Furthermore, PPARγ has been implicated as major catabolic regulator of bone mass in mice and humans. However, a potential involvement of other PPAR subtypes in the regulation of bone homeostasis has remained elusive. Here we report a previously unrecognized role of PPARβ/δ as a key regulator of bone turnover and the crosstalk between osteoblasts and osteoclasts. In contrast to activation of PPARγ, activation of PPARβ/δ amplified Wnt-dependent and β-catenin-dependent signaling and gene expression in osteoblasts, resulting in increased expression of osteoprotegerin (OPG) and attenuation of osteoblast-mediated osteoclastogenesis. Accordingly, PPARβ/δ-deficient mice had lower Wnt signaling activity, lower serum concentrations of OPG, higher numbers of osteoclasts and osteopenia. Pharmacological activation of PPARβ/δ in a mouse model of postmenopausal osteoporosis led to normalization of the altered ratio of tumor necrosis factor superfamily, member 11 (RANKL, also called TNFSF11) to OPG, a rebalancing of bone turnover and the restoration of normal bone density. Our findings identify PPARβ/δ as a promising target for an alternative approach in the treatment of osteoporosis and related diseases.
