As you know, a lot of people are liking Ecdysterone- if you looked at the data and think Ecdysterone is bunk, this post is not for you.... This is all based on the premise that Ecdysterone works.
Now Ecdysterone is problematic because the vast majority of supplements are underdosed. Ecdysterone is very expensive to obtain and difficult to work with. What can be a way around this? Well how about Genistein? Yes the most important active component in Soy.
Reason I say so: Ecdysterone works through multiple mechanisms but most importantly it is a Estrogen Beta Agonist. There are very few selective Estrogen Beta agonists. If a compound activates both the Estrogen Alpha as well as Estrogen Beta receptors (the way regular Estrogen does) it will come with a whole host of issues and most critically such a compound will severely supress natural testosterone production. However something like Ecdysterone that is a selective Estrogen Beta agonists will not bring forth such issues. So what else is a selective Estrogen Beta agonist? According to the list below, Genistein is such a compound (and if you study the list there is nothing else in there we can realistically use).

So, how would Genistein work? Has anyone ever used it as a bodybuilding supplement? Don't respond by simply stating that Soy is bad for bodybuilding because Soy has many other compounds in it.
