You are right, it is all in hour head. The Chiro is a good idea, and if you feel like you had more pain shortly after you went, I am surprised he didn't tell you you might be sore for a day or two afterwards, which is normal.
Secondly, you have to realize when you go to the golf range or Frisbee course, you probably don't loosen up, and if you haven't made those movements in a long time, your muscles are going to hurt, for a while. Especially if you exert yourself the way you describe. Its no different than not being at the gym for a couple months, then going balls to the wall on your first workout back. Its stupid and your body will hate you for a week. You will hurt in places you didn't know existed. That's the result of going all out and not having those muscles in shape to do that. I had been working back in the gym for the last 3 months and not having much muscle soreness using a 5x5 starting strength program. Then I took 6 weeks off due to working out of town for 4 and 2 weeks out of town on vacation. Monday was my first day back and all I did was a few sets of lat pull downs, some chest press on a machine, hammer strength shoulder presses. Let me tell you might upper body is tight as a drum and hurts 24/7. I can't wait for a couple more weeks to get back to where I don't hurt so much after lifting, but it requires acclimating your body and making progression, not going for broke on your first day.
I'm almost 37 and have aches and pains when I wake up also. Your body will contort itself in crazy ways while asleep, and it sucks when you wake up. Not much you can do about it but stretch out when you get up and ease into the day. You even said you are fine as day goes on. As far as muscle twitching and what not at night, make sure you stay hydrated all day. When I do low Carb diets, I tend to get spasms in random spots. Its bound to be related to lower than usual nutrients, such as potassium and possibly sodium. Maybe have some sort of electrolyte drink in the evening as well.
You definitely have issues in your head. You might see someone for mental help as opposed to physical. If you keep going in circles in your mind about things and worry excessively about things, I would start there.
Btw, how tall are you and what's your weight? Your pic doesn't look like a scrawny bird chest body type so keep at it. Quit taking supps except for maybe a protein powder and fish oils.
