I def don't agree with u not based on science but my experience, ever since incorporating racks instead of full deads my traps especially, along with the rest of my back has improved significantly by simply switching to racks. No change to the rest of my routine. This was all suggested by my trainer/coach. Wrong or right who cares there are more than one way to do things bro. One can find a study/science to support whatever it is they want to believe example - IF vs "bro science" 6+ meals a day, I fall into the latter. I hated IF doesn't mean it doesn't work. What I will end with is yes, you are a wealth of knowledge probably a lot smarter than I, but agreeing with tyga in the sense as far as you do come off as a know it all maybe not on purpose but you do. Just my .02 we are here to learn teach and lead not make people feel stupid.
Exactly, and since I pointed out it was not my intent to make anyone feel stupid and I merely asked because I have made the same mistake (and got buried for it). Now please continue to listen to your trainer, my opinion (and a science based one at that) was expressed , if you do not like it then give me YOUR opinion...not your trainers opinion and we can talk about it civilly...yet I do agree that many things work differently for people...ie a lifting brother of mine got real huge quads from back squats at regular stance...and another got huge hamstrings and small quads out of it...go figure?

YES! He has been telling me about about your strategy, and taking in carbs surrounding workouts. What does your ratio look like for this? :)
I consume ~50grs around my workout & progressively add until I'm at 100 (peak mass mode) maybe 10gr every 10days? Start sipping 30min before or so & sip til the end of my workout

Then when I carb up Saturday, ill do ~2gr per lb of body weight.

Mrs Matty - I think you will like taking in a lower amount of carbs and am curious how you will feel on 100 grams per day. That's the amount I eat daily (unless carb cyclen) and sometimes it's hard to get all that in before 5pm, Guess I'm sensitive them as well.

By the way....cool gym pics!!

Stairs!!!! It works. 45-60 min 3 times a week on there ;)
for round 2 yesterday I hopped on the stairmaster for 30 min, I will be giving this go 3 times a week! thanks for the motivation and feedback!

If the Glutes are the problem and so are the Quads...why not add direct Quad Work like Front Squat instead of Back Squat, and for Glutes try Hip Thrusts (Bridges) and Good Mornings.

Honestly you have a good squat already, since you are figure I would say concentrating on a good FULL ROM Front Squat is all you would need for Quads, that and I also am a fan of Front Squat Grip Single Legged Step Ups...hard to get used to but pretty good for size :)
Thanks! I am figure now but my recognition of my size in comparison (at least for a natural alaska organization), I am considering moving up to womens physique. So I need to build some serious muscle in those areas :) I think good full rom is best for all lifting moves I do and then just increase the weight as it gets easier. I appreciate your feedback and I will be experimenting with those lifts!

Yeah I am confident I will like taking in a lower amount of carbs. I kept it at 100gm yesterday and felt MUCH better. WHen I was eating the 200 or even the 150 a day I felt puffy, and overly full- and not in a good way! Just all around gross. So this will be a better help. I usually get all my carbs in by 1pm because of my morning workouts. It helps me to feel that the carbs are being used right away and not just hanging around for later lol.


Ha the pics Matty was being sneaky...he takes them and I am unaware sometimes...he even answers forum questions!?! Now I know what he really does at the gym!

This morning Matty and I will be checking out our first NPC show, well pre-judging anyway for the New-England Pro Qualifiers. Scoping out the competition scene here to prep for the next show...so excited! But will be hitting the gym first, and heading straight to the show; That's right from the gym to the show...we are gonna smell awesome! ha ha

You are going to NPC New England National Qualifier?? That show can qualify you to go the National's in a couple of weeks if you place well. Small world...my friend is competing in WPD at THAT SAME SHOW!! Look for her in a blue suit and even though she's really short, she just told me she is the tallest one in her division!!! Damn....there all shorties!! Just found out her stage# is 46. Her husband is also competing in BB as a heavy weight, I think....

Hitting the gym 1st?? True dedication, my friend!!

Ha! Well IMO, there is nothing worse than trying to cover up BO and garlic w/ cologne or perfume!! A lot of competitors (back stage) smell like have BO since they can't wear deodorant (spray tanning) and have been eating well seasoned food before a show!!!

:shock: I did not know that haha, thank god I am not into doing bodybuilding/physique shows for now hahaha. Powerlifting is first for me...and in some 7-8 years it will be Physique for me I guess...I wanna stay natural as long as possible :D! (or at least until I am in my 30s)

It was a blast, stinky and all! I was so entertained by the BO commentary yesterday! ha ha you guys crack me up!

I guess we will never know what the Judges will reward anyway, different show means different point of view's. Like you said - train for yourself and compete against yourself, as that's really the only mindset to go along with.

and as motivating as the competition was, I faltered over the weekend. I had become sp frustrated trying to find a balance with the carbs that I basically said "to hell with it!" A couple of halloween parties= cookies, cany, cocolate.....CHOCOLATE...and so it went. BUT thanks to a great AM member there is a new plan implemented today! I have my motivation back but my workout suffered this morning from the carb hangover...however, I did do the workout but my joints ached, and couldn't lift heavy at all! UGH! I am almost embarassed to post the workout (or to disclose my poor eating over the weekend) but it just shows that I am certainly not perfect as much as I would like to be; I am committed to this lifestyle even if I falter. I have picked myself back up, and am looking forward to new structure :-D GAME ON!!!

Well I ate enough to where I don't want to do that again for a very long time! :) So my diet plan will be two weeks of no carbs, then one carb up day and from then on carbs surrounding my workouts (i.e. carb powder). I feel great already! Yesterday, yes i took a full scoop of speedx3- ugh and I needed. My body was hating me and hating being at the gym! Today I was still a little sore but MUCH better than yesterday!

You are so very right! I felt disgusting by the end and ready to swear it off forever (for now lol), man my workout really suffered yesterday and alittle bit this morning it is crazy how your body responds or doesn't based on what you fuel it with!
My msucles are full of glycogen but so is my face and my belly ha ha! I am highly motivated and I think the 2 weeks will be a breeze BECAUSE those cravings are well outta the way- yuck! I do believe this will be a better plan for me to lean out and make gains. I really do feel amazing and it is just the middle of day two.

With the mass hgh, do you notice vivid dreams.. usually associated with REM.

funny you say that - I'm about 2/3 way thru my bottle, and hadn;t noticed that at all until I took 4 at night a few days, since then I've had much more vivid dreams

I am taking one at night and notice the restful effects. I am curious, why you take 4? :) I am sure you must have had some vivid dreams!

Well, I'd been taking HGHPro for a bit before this & I wasn't getting the same sort of recovery I felt before - tried 4 one night, then again, ended up going with 4 for about a week - noticed some extra leanness in the morning. Then had some traveling & forgot them at home. Since then I'm back at 3 -

I am still sleeping deeply. I only woke up twice last night due to a very full bladder! lol But was able to get back to sleep with no problems! We have also been waking up at 5am the last two days and I have been so tired. I am not sure if it's due to the adjustment in time zones we are going through, the indulgence of carbs over the weekend, the AD-3/Mass HGH stack with the deep sleep but I am all out of whack and I was use to waking up at 430am everyday in Alaska....I am gonna blame it on the carbs for now but will keep you all posted on my morning wake ups :)

Good luck with the upcoming time change as well.
Yeah it sucks :nutkick:but I think cuz we were use to getting up at 430 in Alaska, that when we were sleeping in here on the east coast it was still around the same time as alaska! BUT waking up at 5am here is like 1am in Alaska...just another thing to adjust too! LOL
