Day 10 as noted had to take the day off due to my wife's carpel tunnel surgery. Even though I did not go to the gym, I did have a workout. She wanted the treadmill moved from the basement upstairs. So I started dragging it up the stairs, got to the top and it will not fit even with taking the basement door off. UGH, so here I go back down the stairs and outside and into the living room.
Carpal tunnel surgery, huh? That's a rough one. Hopefully she recovers quickly and Cary isn't stuck washing the dishes for too long!

That was geared towards Cary and the carpal tunnel syndrome but yeah its an interesting perspective. I'm a bookworm - comes with 2hrs of subway travel a day.

I got into the free weight room and it was in shambles, weight plates scattered everywhere, dumbbells all over the place, barbells not on the racks. So I spend a good 10 mins cleaning up someone else's mess. I did leave a note for the owner about the mess. So here was my workout, I did not have my notebook to keep track so I'm going off memory.
BB Curls s/s with Hammer Bar curls: 60lb BB and 25s on the hammer curl bar Did 3 sets/10 reps each
Cable Preacher Curls: 45x10 50x10 55x10
Cable V-bar pushdowns: 45x10 55x10 65x10 70x10
Cable Rope tricep kickback: 20x10 25x10 30x10
Assisted Dips: 100x10 90x10

It really pisses me off when I get to the gym right when they open on the weekends and there are plates everywhere. I guess cleaning up the gym counts as your warmup, right? Good upper body workout this morning Cary.

Drives me up the wall. I think its required at New York Sports Club to have weights haphazardly placed and employees are not allowed to organize them.

Sadly, 80% of the employees at my gym (Gold's) don't look like they could lift a 45lb. plate off the floor and rack it.

I think it should be a requirement that you should be a gym member to be an employee, even better if you had knowledge of nutrition

Even though I did not go to the gym today, I am doing a chest workout. I got out my Perfect Pushup and I'm doing sets of pushups. Even got my son to get on my back and did 5 pushups!

They are the stationary pushup bars but they rotate to allow for more muscle training. I like them

They were on TV infomercials and have been sold everywhere. I have some that I got from one of those deal of the day websites. They are also a little easier on your wrists sine they allow movement.

No. I don't. I'm still old school fan of the physical texts. I really should get one
I resisted them for the longest. I would actually print ebooks and put them in binders but I recently picked up a nook and I think I actually like it

This week, I'm going to concentrate on 1 muscle group per day, 4-5 exercises with at least 4 sets per

Smith Bench: 135x10 165x8 185x5 205x3 225x1 135x10
Smith Incline: 115x8 125x5 135x4 145x3
Hammer Strength Iso-Lat Wide Chest: 45x10 45/10x10 45/25x10 45/35x10 2-45x10
Body Master Pec Fly: 110x15 120x15 130x12 all 3 sets I held last rep for 10 secs

Awesome chest workout - was flexing my pecs and making them bounce a bit.
I did find out on the smith incline that I cannot use a real wide grip, too much pressure on my left shoulder

Solid intensity on the chest workout. Decline press motions have virtually no shoulder stress if you feel to change it up, the smythe can get awkward on an incline.

I can't do decline at all, its put too much stress on my shoulders, I haven't tried decline db yet, I may try that sometime and see how it does.

That's too bad. After I tore my labrum, I was exactly the opposite. I could not do any incline work but decline work was actually tolerable. Either way, it's best to listen to your body and adjust accordingly. Nice chest workout no matter what.

Huh, OK. Maybe its the bar that does it for you. Try DB one day when you have a spot and see how it goes.
