Believe they became controlled substances in 1989 or maybe 1990.

What was it like around that time? How did you acquire it?

Did you literally just walk into CVS and buy anadrol and test?

From talking to some guys it sound like they were not a scheduled drug so they were more easily acssessed with a rx. I could be wrong, I'll have to chat it up at the gym tomorrow with some old timers.

It was never oct so no you couldn't walk into a cvs like that. It was pretty much the exact same from my understanding. The only difference is you couldn't get arrested for it. I've seen dudes get walked out of our gym restroom in handcuffs in there pinning and selling. Being legal before, that didn't happen.
