DUMB FCKING DOG!!!! He's got like 3 different bacteria all of which cause food poisoning. It's from eating garbage. I went out to my truck to get water, literally a minute.. Stupid bastard was eating garbage when I came in!
Ugh! I hate when mine do that! The big one is the worst about eating food anywhere. The little one eats anything and everything he can physically get in his mouth- cups, toys, shoes, etc! My big dog even broke our window last week when I was outside waiting on my son to get off the bus!

i would love to meet meadows, kai, and bpak. i find kai just interesting in general, meadows and bpak i'd love to have deep muscle building conversations with both of them. i heard cutler was a nice ass dude to meet in person, maybe it was a bad day or his prolactin and estro were high lol
I have heard this a few times recently that he was acting kind of douchey, I have only heard he was nice from one person, well other than Phil Heath. He needs to just find another source of income than just competing before these lower placings make him unmarketable.

tests and X-rays. They just called. He's gonna be ok :). Picking him up now
Yay!

Time to put a mouse trap on the top of the trash when you walk away. One or two times of that and he will avoid the can at all costs. He doesn't know it made him sick but he will know that it snapped him in the snout. Won't injure him but it will be unpleasant enough he avoids the trash can. That or get one with a top or hide it in a cupboard.

I anticipate a decent leg day tomorrow. Got news at work. It's good so I have more time to lift but smaller paychecks. We're dialing back to 8 hr days. Can't wait!

We all fall off man. I'm sure everyone has had a bad month or 12. I can't imagine where I'd be now if I was consistent from when I started.

That's kinda exciting to have more normal hours! Definitely more exciting to have more time to train!

Not bragging (because life is life and we don't usually get to pick our adversities), but since I started squatting and pulling when I was 20 I haven't been out of the gym ever for longer than 8 days the past 4 years. Actually only 6 ever except for the 8-day week I took earlier this summer. Knock on wood.

I just never get truly sick of it; there are days often every week where I don't feel like being there, but I miss weightlifting in general after just a few days. Even if it's just something dumb like an arm day. It's why we got started in the first place, after all.

Absolutely. I have a severely torn labrum. No rehab and prehab makes that pain go away.

Yeah she hasn't found a job out here yet, and she's kind of waiting since the power company is still interviewing/hiring. We alternate weekends as long as I get two days off.

I was like that until I had kids and a wife. Priorities got rearranged ever big change in life can cause a down cycle in our hobby.

after a little talking with the coach looks like i'm gonna keep cals high for a few weeks then we're going to do a mini cut. he seemed alright with my progress. the first 4 words of his email were "you look big man". kinda enjoy hearing that. sitting at 218.4lbs this AM.

smashed the hell out of my legs today. im moving my leg day to the second day of my weekend so i can hit them rested. the amount of walking i do at work is insane, im thinking of grabbing a pedometer just to get a good general idea.

SLDL

banded leg press

hack squats

single leg extensions

leg curls

calf superset, standing, donkey

legs are pretty thrashed today. felt real good to get a good leg day in.

I know I thoroughly enjoyed it when Matt said I looked big or was looking great and making great progress. It is awesome to hear that from a coach who is paid to say hey I think you are fugging around if you come in looking any other way than expected. Of course he is right you do look big!!! By the way I am going to just leave this hear for you and anyone following.

Murdered my chest so hard someone pulled the fire alarm. Seriously they ended my work out way early. I only got in about 8 sets of inclines, 5 banded guillotine presses and 3 sets of flat Swiss bar. Oh well.

In all honesty it was a subpar lift. Just wasn't in it.

Swiss bar is where it's at! You can just feel your triceps growing under it, pain-free.

Buddy just got these black/neon green Rhino Iron Rebel wraps; he's never used wraps and he's never done a meet, so he decides to buy the most gangsta wraps he can find. And he bought a thick-ass 13mm Titan Brahma lever belt *smh* We put them on him, having never used either, and he couldn't even get down under 405 because the belt and wraps were "hurting really bad". Well no ****! They look really cool though lol

13mm belt holy sh!t! I'm looking forward to the new wraps. I prob won't use them for a month or two. Glutes and hips suffered while my hip flexor was messed up. Gotta get strength back there before heavy 3-5 rep sets.

I'd agree on being easy getting into heavy weight - if you get injured, you can't train after all.

And I'd have to agree; I'm just in hulk smash mode right now - a full 25lbs from when you were in town. There's glycogen and fat most definitely, but a good 10lbs of lbm I'm sure also. I've found every time I gain weight and immediately try to dice the fat off I end up with the fat off but only a few lbs of lbm to show for it. Was listening to a little discussion between Brandon Lilly and Paul Carter and they more or less were saying the same thing, but if you hold the weight for a few months and let the body adapt THEN when you recomp or diet slowly you tend to keep a lot more of the new mass. So gonna try to hold around 220 through the holidays (what better time to literally be fat).

I should add I'm treating that Swiss bar like dumbbells... Squeezing in for pec activation like a hex press. Plates and dimes had my pecs (and the fire alarm) screaming.

Back day!!!!

Wide grip pulldowns

Bent over row

Meadows gripped HS row

T bar row

Tri set pulldowns face pulls pull overs

Triple drop sets incline bicep curls

GVT calves.

Back in the big boy club. Rows were heavy enough to have the entire gym staring in awe.
