If growing the medial and posterior delts are the goal, I recommend doing Wide Grip Upright Rows but bent over just a tiny bit. By wide grip I mean pinky - middle finger on the ring. Being that wide out takes the internal rotation that makes it dangerous and removes it. When your grip is that wide you really can only pull your elbows up to shoulder height leaving the bar only traveling up to about the rib cage. By not trying to take this any higher you keep the tension on the medial / posterior delts and avoid the inward rotation caused by trying to lift the bar to shoulder height with a closer grip.

Gonna have to give these a try on my next shoulder session .... standard upright rows have not been part of my training for a long time due to the shoulder issues that have resulted from them .... what you said here sounds very logical and worth a try .... thanks

Upper 1 day.

Kept it all light nothing bigger than a wheel just worked for blood flow

Slight incline smith bench. 3x10

Bb upright rows from Kleens description 3x10

JM press 3x10

Hs rows 3x10

Bb bent row 3x10

Felt good to get the blood flowing again though.

Definitely worthwhile. Don't go crazy heavy I do them no less than 10 reps just to be safe, and keep a very good smooth tempo on the way up and slower on the way down. Think of your hands as inanimate hooks hanging from your elbows and not as part of the pulling mechanism. Your goal should only be to pull the elbows up to shoulder height. They are also great if you have a smith machine, especially the ones with a slight angle to them. I feel I can isolate it more that way. I always get a sick pump in my medial and posterior delts with them.

So how was the shoulder pump from those uprights? Looks like a great workout!

4 months, no check in. I'm alive. Been working my ass off. Sitting around 197 consistently. Came off gear all together basically in feb/march time frame. I tapered doses back in January unintentionally. Basically forgetting doses, not having enough time etc etc. Zero pct. Just taper and AI or serm doses if my nips swelled....

If you all recall i was around 210-215 before I started this job so maybe 20 lbs lost total. That's pretty solid retention for quitting gear and not even having time to lift.

My test levels are still in the 500s like they were pre cruise. I'm hornier than a goat and ready to bang anything that walks by. Which is pretty awesome. Balls may be a little smaller than before but I never measured so no saying for sure.

Hopefully soon I will be getting a day or two off so I can get in solid meal preps and some physical recovery so I can get back to killing it and building the best beast yet. Beast 2.0.

Sheesh Conor, from not enough work to too much... I bet you are in great shape right now though. All of that walking should have your metablism running at a good click. Hell 500 on test at your age insn't oo bad. You could make some good gains at that level. Bump a little SHBG reducing supp into the mix to maximize free test and you could see some sweet gains. At this point if I could rock 500 test levels with no supps I would be all over it.
