Anyone try CBD for pain?

Really there are no side effects, but if you are particularly sensitive to some of the mixture of the CBD/THC, you can feel lethargic or excitability. For CBD to work properly, you need a very small amount of THC. Good extractors can get this nailed down, but I've had some that clearly did not get it right.

Terpenes are all the rage and they each add the unique flavor and taste, but what has been found is that each has additional health benefits. For instance, Myrcene is a terpene with a strong "earthy" taste and found in most all indicas. It is partially responsible for the lazy, relaxed feel an indica provides. On the other hand Caryophyllene is found in more sativa strains and helps with depression, and helps provide some energy benefits.

I have a few friends with extract kitchens that are really concentrating (no pun) on these areas.

My girl just bought into a company to distribute this stuff. But i'm ignorant to all this as well. I dont understand how to sell a product with the claim of THC free. But then there is a minimal amount in there and there is a disclaimer about drug testing. Seems nonsensical to tell people that.
You cannot have an effective CBD that is completely free of THC.

That's what i've heard. But my niece swears by her stuff and it turned out to be an isolate. The lab came back zero thc. They stuff my girl has ranged from .03-.08. I've spoke with some that are in friendlier states and they we're talking about 2.5% thc. Which too me would trigger a drug test. Idk, I'm like an infant to this stuff.

No, you do not need to be in the 2%+ levels. Most of the medicinal options are in the .05 - 1%. I've been involved in the MMJ business in CO in some form since 2005 and believe it or not, this has been studied since that time and the idea of higher levels of THC being necessary is a dated one.

Do you know if they trigger drug tests? I've heard different things about cross-reactivity due to cbd metabolites. But if it we're a lab test I'm assuming some thc could possible show up. Idk though, that's such a small amount. But my girls company does give a disclaimer about testing.

I would imagine it is possible. Unless you are using an isolate, which has very limited effect compared to whole plant, there is a trace amount of THC, amongst all of the other cannabinoids and could show up. If this is a concern, an isolate could be an option for some benefit, and does seem to help some people based on reviews. There is little comparison though, so if you don't need to worry about that, then you definitely want to take advantage of the compound.

I was thinking about experimenting with it. I get tested monthly so it could pose a problem. Ive tried a 2 week run with favorable results with the oil. The creams not so much. I know my system cleans out within 2 weeks so i gave it a try. Im thinking maybe next month trying just the oil and testing myself through the duration to see if it shows up or not. But it would mean giving up the flowers that first week after my test. Which this month i chose not to give up so there's no way of knowing using myself as a test subject at this point.

Long term use of CBD have improved my mood and outlook and my ability to handle stress has improved as well. The anti-inflammatory benefits and uephoria are felt almost instantaneously when vap/dab with powder.

Not going to claim to have much knowledge on this but I have something very minor to add. It may not be pertinent to anyone on this board directly, but when in the real world dealing with pain and especially if you are selling something with CBD - I would be very cautious in giving CBD oil to anyone having pain who has any heart problems or is on a blood thinner such as warfarin. By cautious I mean - don't do it.

absolutely. There is a need to be aware of your other drug use as i believe it can increase "that enzye' 450 someti,g or other that increases absorption.

Yeah...CBD and warfarin MAY be fine..we just don't know. There are cases of people using warfarin and cannabinoids together though and requiring blood transfusions. I only bring it up because elderly people are often in pain, and we'll meaning family members may inadvertently cause harm.

My grandmother is 91 and has pain and I can't tell you how many times people have mentioned pot or CBD to help reduce her opioid use. And the doctors often are unaware if the issue.

Cbd has helped with pain for me. It’s also made me a happier, more social person without the memory loss and lack of motivation that I’d experience from marijuana.

Not sure if it is worthy, but as an athlete, competitor, and advocate for the plant and benefits I have known have been there for the last 25 years , I am so happy it is breaking through the stigmas and profiles. There are extremes to everything and stereotypes are real for a reason, but there is the other side. This is an incredible natural remedy for so many ailments and especially for those of us that care about our health and want options for any pharmaceutical.

California but this was from Florida . I just took a screen shot of there web page.
I'm unfamiliar with MMJ and interstate sales. Were you in FL at the time or were you able to purchase out of state on line legally? I'm in AZ and use Timelssvapes cartridges pretty exclusively. They sell in AZ and CA. Their products are in the mid 80% potency. Those products were well priced.1000mg for $60 at 90%+ is good. I get my Timeless gram cartridges for $59 when on special.

I don't really get this stuff as I'm way out of the loop. My mom has bad rhumetoid arthritis and I'm thinking about getting her a setup. What's the best place to go and get educated and where could I go all in one to get everything she would need?

That’s because you are limited in options unless you live in a legal state. CBD isolates are about it for cross border choices.

Truth. Definitely don't need whole section. But this thread and all the great feedback has given my such a jump in knowledge. Research is great and I'm continually doing my own. But more educated bro's spreading knowledge is what makes the forums great.

That really keeps coming up. My niece swears by hear isolate. But every other person I've spoke with prefer the full spectrum and also say the THC needs to be minimal. Science also seems to be backing it up everywhere I turn.

I can testify that CBD vaping at 100mg a night for one week had dramatically (very pronounced and evident) improved my mood and outlook - again.

I had be using that amount for about a quarter ounces worth of time and it was spectacular. Improved recouprative sleep on same less sleep. Outstanding outlook. Reasonably analgesic for me pain overall but Definitely with vaping.

I ran out and it was probably a month without and i did it on purpose. Honestly I'm a pot head when I did smoke weed. Daily all day self medicating my head. I'd almost let you keep the thc entirely because my self medication and fix is CBD...green crack high just makes it damn fun :D

I'm with ya on this one. Platinum Kush is great and all. But pain relief isnt as good off mary jane in comparison to the oil. I haven't vaped yet. I cant wait though. I stopped taking the oil yesterday and my back pain came right back. Also the sleep is insanely different.I used to wake up twice a night to go to the bathroom. With this stuff, I wake up and its daylight already with no trips to the bathroom overnight. Really didn't anticipate that effect.

Vapirazation either via pen and cartridge or dabbing crystallized slabs or powder.

Vaping is the most efficient. Oil rigs are somewhat cumbersome and IMO, pretty next level. You have people that smoke or vape and then you have dabbers. Dabbing has been big around here for years, and it is now onto dabbing gravity rigs.

I don't think this is doable I didn't realize it was do expensive. They say vaping 10mg to 25mg a day. That's expensive

From what I've read vaping you need less than that. If you find a good isolate.

Yeah maybe it will become more popular and demand will go up and price will go down. I am searching for price of isolates and they are running a higher price

I get 3.5g 99.9% <$100

3500mg/100mg - 1 month

1/4 oz cheaper yet....etc...

Very very well worth it.

Dabbibg is as or easier than a bong hit.

https://www.cibdol.com/blog/626-does-cbd-affect-your-hormones

Numerous studies have already argued that CBD can directly affect hormone levels. More specifically, studies have found that CBD lowers cortisol levels in the brain by interfering with the excretion of the hormone in the adrenal gland. This is extremely important in managing the balance of healthy cortisol levels and reducing symptoms of stress.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8257923?_ga=2.42127910.2095312184.1508780299-1640014903.1508780299

I see it this very week. Waist band just dropped a loop in a week.

The psychological and physiological bendfifs are pronounced.

Appreciate those links. That's interesting that cortisol is effected. I can believe it though. I did light cardio and even lighter strength training and dropped 8 lbs in 2 weeks. Back pain holds me back until i met these oils. Its pricey, but well worth the benefits.

My niece mixes oil with a different suspension to vape hers. Is that what you mean by oil rigs, or am I off base and thats something different? I never heard about dabs unless we're talking about heavy THC extraction. My interest is definitely peaked though.

My niece said vaping hers lasts a lot longer than using the oil sublingual. I dont know how it makes it that, but she wont do it any other way than vaping.

They need to be clear in this to indicate that the group did not take 600mg of straight cbd or at least indicate how it was ingested. To have a study giving people 600 pure cbd would be pretty pointless because that is about 30x a standard dose.

I should not have phrased it that way, I will edit that they should be clear on how it was ingested. 600mg is not a practical dose and generally if you were to buy cbd oil, for example, you would find something like 30ml with 600mg cbd in it. That would break down to 16mg per serving or whatever. For relaxation, I take no more than 30mg at a time and I am a 215 man. 600mg straight cbd would destroy me.
