Thanks Bro Namath.
I sent the vid to Sean for his input. Everything but the initial pull looked ok to him (the one I reset after). I think I'm going to start pulling in flat shoes though, to stop forward drift.
FWIW, Chuck Taylor's are excellent for squatting & pulling in, personally. I've seen enough guys personally pulling well over 700 in them that I don't think they're gonna hurt, so I buy into them not being a bad choice. Your lower back stays flat, your spine is fairly neutral, & you lock out (can't see your knees in those shorts but your hips are locked fosho), so that's really all there is to it. I take my air standing up, with arms outstretched, to get the maximum belly-filling possible - when you take your air already bent over you're probably not gonna get as much air into your gut as you could standing. When I bend down, I grab the bar, take the slack, dip to let my shins contact, & pullup with eyes fwd/up. But as soon as I bend down, it's like a lightswitch - more time you spend down there thinking about trying to pull, more time you have to contemplate failure.

When I walk up to the bar, it's focused aggression, take air, bend down & rip it off the floor. I try not to spend time thinking - thinking is your enemy on heavy deadlift. You should have one thought repeating in your head at the bar & drowning out every other thought/fear - something like "Pull" or "Strong" or "I WILL!"

You're filling your self full if air and just hold it in during the lift?

All you had to do was ask lol.
Lol. I mean, I read y'all's logs.

Just never seen that mentioned and I try not to ask more than one newbie question a day.

Lol ok ok.

Chest. 13 sets total. No spotter today. Kept it safe on the smith rack for compounds.

5 sets incline HS machine.

4 sets decline smith

5 sets incline smith

Band over and back stretching between all sets

Shoulders 12 sets total

Lateral machine 5 sets last 3 were drop sets really got the blood pumping hard

4 sets of 20 reps on rear delt pec deck.

Barbell over and backs for 3 sets

Most sets were 10 until I was beginning to fail. Managed to maintain fairly heavy weights today. Pretty happy with it all.

Gonna smash some abs and calves tomorrow. Need to really get serious about hitting them.

Deca should be here tomorrow. Can't wait.

RegisterJr you can let the air out controlled during the top half of the lift if you like & still get a lot of the benefit (this is usually how I bench, but I have a crappy bench #, fwiw), but for squat/dead I always hold it the whole rep. Not if I'm doing a hypertrophy set of a lot of reps, but anything 5 or less really is very controlled breathing.

And notice iparatroop gasps/grunts/loses his air before the bar ever clears his knees - you really don't want that ideally, especially before you clear the knees. A lot of guys get animated & just let it howl, but breathing-wise it's better to save your roar for when you're locked out or have the bar back on the ground.

Had another good workout last night did a full body on the Tower 2000 and added in some jump squats, and lunges against the resistance for legs. Got some KB swings and Push Ups in the mix too. Worked hard got a nice sweat and pump was insane. Vascularity was off the charts.

I believe the rest of this week I am going to just keep doing what I am doing. It feels really good the different type of resistance is great and I am able to move into any angle or direction to get perfect contraction and massive burn. Plus my joints were needing a break so using the high rep high energy expenditure workout to deload and burn fat just seems a good choice.

I am thinking about maybe doing something like P/RR/S starting next week but you all know me I like to change things up all the time. Not sure if it is the way to go right this second though due to the joints being dry. Eyeballing different programs as i get ready to enter a more recomp/slow cut phase. It is going to be a lot more fun when I have a little bit of carbs coming into the diet for more energy. I don't typically ask but does anyone have any suggestions on programs? I may even hit the same program I was doing earlier in this before doing more full body and rock the MYO Rep with a little more food. I was really enjoying it and think with a bit of food it would have been awesome...

Nice session Chris ^^^

Alrighty back at it after a bit of a mental break. Still not sure if I had a allergic reaction or what but still a bit puffy/watery despite the clean consistent nutrition.

Hit up chest shoulders today. Felt good. Killer pump and I hit 265x4 on paused banded bench presses.

Anyone know what the added resistant is with the orange MD mini bands??

Two more weeks of this program then going to do a week deload and probably run this again not sure

Made an appointment at the gym with my friends coach to measure my body fat (7 point caliper ). I feel I'm around 8-9 but it's hard to tell with this watery moosh I have at the moment.

So...If you drink about 1.5 gallons of water a day and you were trying to weigh in as light as possible and you usually wake up around 8 am what time would you cut water off the night before. Hypothetically speaking of course ;)

You mean my friend...

Mon-Wed drink 4 gallons per day with high sodium, Thursday reduce it to 3 gallons and low sodium/carbs, Friday have a small breakfast then fast/dehydrate, then Saturday weigh-in. I lost 12-14lbs.

I'm only about .8 lbs off as off this morning. Did cardio after my workout today. Gonna try and cut water off around 9 PM tonight and see where that gets me I think.
You could also remove the heavier wool like dress you are currently wearing, so that you don't have to put on the sundress..

The long mini's? <img src="http://anabolicminds.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=96767"/>
those colors don't match my set, but yes the long orange ones doubled over is what I've been using

I know you're doing it for weight loss but fwiw I looked leaner and dryer and may have weighed less three days out with normal sodium and most 2.5 gals of water than I did after limiting sodium and cutting water off at 5pm the might before.

Since it's just weight loss if cut it off around 8pm and be as active as possible bud

Sean1332 had it right, you need to take an extremely hot EPSOM salt bath the night before. Stop drinking your fluids about 6-7 when you have that last meal only sip then no more after that. Right before bed put about 4 cups EPSOM salt in the bathtub in HOT water. Your best bet it to get into it while shallow then increase the heat as much as possible while it fills. You want to submerge your entire body into the water, even the top of your head if possible only leaving your face and maybe knees exposed to the air. Stay in for at least 10 minutes sometime running more hot water.

When you get out pat yourself off with a towel then put rubbing alcohol on your skin to close pores back up. Go get in bed cover up and go to sleep. Wake up pounds lighter than you went to bed. Weigh in, take picture of scale. Do a happy dance then go eat some fuggin food!

If you need better directions google cutting weight with epsom salt bath, you will find a few methods.

The trick is the salt lowers the density of the water on the outside of the body and the heat opens the pores and stimulates sweating. The salt in the water actually pulls the subcutaneous water from under the skin while leaving most of the organ and muscular hydration intact so performance and health is not effected like in other weight cutting methods.

Thanks dudes! I'll see where I'm at tomorrow morning and go from there. HOPEFULLY I won't need to do the bath but if I'm still over .5 lbs away in the morning I'll go for it.

Dude Epsom salt baths are amazing in all honesty.
You got this Dan :)

What's wrong with bubble baths bro? I'm taking one right now.
Completely agree. If I only had a tub big enough for me to completely submerge my body in I'd take a bath every night :).
