I voted for Muscle and Fitness HER. I know I already posted this but I just compared an issue of MF HER and a regular MF.

There are 272 pages in MF
157 are advertisments
27 have no information on them (they are just pictures or title pages)

that leaves 88 pages with information (32%)

There are 96 pages in MF HER
29 are advertisements
9 have no information

that leaves 58 pages with information (60%)

MF HER is about half the price.

There are alot of intangibles as well. There is much more information on each page in MF HER, better recipes (much more diverse aswell, as they cater to different fitness goals, and vegitarians) and it is far less repetetive than other mags like MF or Flex (partly because it is fairly new). And something my girlfriend really likes about it is that it is very clear in it's instruction, but doesn't talk done to its reader like a lot of women's magazines.

I'm a personal trainer as well, and quite frankly most of the programs in MF HER are more useful to the average person. Following a Mr Universe contestant's programs is just going to result in overtraining for most people.
You know I always see stuff in the back of M&F about M&F for her and wanted to see what is was about but never see it on news stands  good to know. I may try and pick some up for my girl.

Great analysis...you have sparked my interest in this magazine, and I think I will go ahead and grab a copy.

voted for Flex, they have some great articles, nice routines and excellent nutrition tips. Did not see my favorite MILO from Iron minds

I voted for FLEX Magazine because it includes good informative articles regarding nutrition, science, and weight lifting routines. It is not overly saturated with advertisements like some of the other magazines. Some of the supplement ad's are beneficial because they allow me to research the products.

Muscular Development for NastyNally

I voted for Muscular Development because they have the largest bodybuilding magazine around (about 450-500 pages). Not only are there countless supplement adds and testimonials, but specific articles about nutrition, supplements, health and sexual performance, and drugs with their sources cited. In addition, they have monthly articles with bodybuilders (such as Kai Greene, Toney Freeman, Dexter Jackson, Desmond Miller, Gustavo Badell, and Branch Warren among others) answer people's questions concerning everything from workouts to nutrition. Last but not least, there is the 'Ramblin Freak' section written montly by non other than Gregg Valentino. I can't get enough of that scumbag.

I voted for muscular development, as it seems much more in depth and a lot less censored than men's health, muscle and fitness, etc. although I will say I am not familiar with some of the options

I voted for Muscular Development, on account of the entertainment factor. I read it regularly while I was deployed to Iraq, and it provided both laughs from the articles and motivation to get my ass over to the weight room.

I voted MUSCULAR DEVELOPEMENT because the articles remind me of what I read on here. Its nice to read offline now and then. And its kind of neat to see ads from companies I have seen "grown up" on the forums. That AND I was mentioned in a USPLabs ad featured in MD :)

You know, I gotta change my answer. ;)

My favorite print magazine is Body of Science. Hardcore, no bull****, cutting-edge info. Now that's what I'm talkin' about! :clap2:
You can go ahead and call me biased, it's not like I write for them or anything (oh, wait...) :toofunny:

I voted for Men's health for a few reasons. They were the first magazine I started to read about bodybuilding but turned out to be more of a general lifestyle magazine. I don't like GQ and it's pretentions and I find maxim and fhm to be too immature. Men's fitness is overloaded with ads. It is not for hardcore bodybuilding but it's not hardcore anything so there's always something interesting to read. Enough that I subscribe to it. I prefer something that's well written and I find the articles to be engaging versus the other mag's out there.

I voted for "OTHER" (Strength and Conditioning Journal & The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research) because it is the only publication not full of crap. Magazines like Flex, M&F, or MD are nothing but steroid/supplement ad booklets. Thats all. Its the same thing over and over again. They just rephrase everything. The Strength and Conditioning Journal & The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research are pure science, no bull****, no biases, just pure science. Its all about professional studies, practices, exercise science, etc.. all things useful in your bodybuilding quest. Absolute bull crap like in md, the latest supplement breakthrough or dave palumbos/william leweyn steroid news/info, aint ganna help you one bit. That junk just skews your focus. How many times do you read about advanced training, rehabilitation techniques, prehabilitation techniques, nutritional guidleines in md? Bunch of crap. Its all a distraction, they want you $$, worthless mags.

I haven't read all of the mags listed regualrly but all of them are pretty much the same. I want to learn something when I open a magazine, not read the same crap again and again. I mean how many times is Chris Aceto going to post the same GET SHREDDED diet in M&F or in MD or other steroid mag are they going to post the same routines, diet, steroid advice you already know. The only thing I like reading is interviews or special stories like Mexican Connection in MD. TOher than that there is NOTHING special in there.

One more edit: Don't you think it is such a bunch of bs to be features for supplements you know are crap in those magazines. Do some of these athletes have no character? Steroids are the LAST piece of the puzzle, no one seems to realize this, and other than advertising for protein these pros are scum sometimes. Like Victor Martinez advertising for SarmX or whatever its called. Gimmie a break. All supplements are no more than the ingredients in them. I am going to stop or Ill just keep rambling but THAT CRAP INFURIATES ME.
We use natural bodybuilder in our add.

Check it out

agreed. pro body building doesnt make much money in terms of prize money. Sponsors are where the cash comes from. You cant expect someone to reach the level that he's at just for fun. They do it as a hooby and they also try to make a living out of it. Can't blame them.

Can't you kind of say that about anyone, though? I mean, if I took up stealing old peoples' social security checks and carjacking soccer moms, I bet I could quit everything and just lift, maybe making it to the pros.

Should that be an excuse? Should I not be blamed?
