You guys reccomend dut or fin?

Been having some hair loss the last few years. Currently do minoxidil, ketakenazole, microneedling. Used fin a few years ago and not sure it did much. Was thinking of giving dut a try but the whole eliminating dht thing worries me. They say dht after puberty is useless but I find that hard to believe. I feel like it's what makes us men and helps give us that alpha feeling. They prescribe it to trannies so feel like that has to tell you something. I just see so many guys hopping on this stuff so wondering if I should give it a try. What do you guys think?

I would never recommend Dut or Fin, but I understand people will go there.

I am on Dut and have no sides, maintaining hair, but if I could have my time back I would exhaust more natural ways first.

Red light therapy, Massage, dermarolling, diet, peptides (GHK CU, this wont do much for DHT, but will aid in other ways) Topicals. Other topical peptides, caffeine etc etc

Then I would probably look at Topical Fin or Dut before oral.

Do you want a functioning penis or hair…. That is the question as most guys have issues with those drugs. I choose sexual function over everything

i took actual brand name propecia back in 2009ish for about 2 years from merk from a real pharmacy, worked great but the sides were harsh for me. face was puffy, armpits smelled even 3 minutes out of the shower, less vascular, my legs would ache constantly and i felt tired all the time. i did not notice any sexual sides though. held a little more fluff around the midsection and had a weird aversion to arugula while taking it(normally i love arugula). hair started to look a little better around the 6 month mark and scalp was less tight, by about a year my hair looked awesome and was thickening up nicely and people started to notice, no new hairs at the hairline or anything though, most of the results i noticed were at the very top of my head, i decided to stop and within 3 weeks the sides went away. within a year or so hair started looking crappy again after stopping.

I use topical fin and I would recommend it. I get blood work done regularly and there has been no changes. I've never had a single side effect from it.

I know people on here are concerned about ED but I believe the ED side effects are way overblown. That could just be because I haven't experienced any though. But this is the anabolic section... it's not like we haven't risked ED issues before.

Were you taking 5mg or 1mg? Some people used to take 5mg which is a very high dose and really supposed to be used for prostate issues. Nowadays almost everyone uses 1mg I believe.

Can't take the topical don't want my kids exposed to it

I was on brand name 1mg propecia
That's the standard dose. Those are some harsh side effects. I don't want to minimize anyone else's experiences, however most people do not have those side effects.

There are ways to minimize some side effects for some people as well who take pills. If you take finasteride at night it can help reduce or eliminate some side effects that people get from it because the peak is 2 - 3 hours in the bloodstream after taking it.

Some people take oral minoxidil as well and get palpitations and lightheadedness side effects, however they seem to be lessened or eliminated for some when they take it sublingual because it gets absorbed slower.

Just saying there are ways to potentially play around with it for some people.

If you need it go with the topical version it's much more forgiving, I know the general population is pretty split on whether or not people should use it and I'm in the school of don't use it unless you absolutely have to.

Your body deactivates cortisol via the 5ar enzyme at a high percentage of its metabolites. And also reduces other naturally occurring steroids like progesterone and pregnenolone to neuroprotective metabolites. 5ar gets a bad rap but is very important to your health.
