Yohimbine and it's effects "down there"

I've seen many people saying Yohimbine is great for erections.

My question is: does it straight up give you a boner regardless of whether you want it to? Or does it only help if you want to get hard?

Stimulants can constrict veins, yes. Yohimbine works by increasing blood flow to trouble areas (stubborn fat areas, reproductive parts, etc.), so it works well for getting more blood "down there"
