Yohimbe Bark and sleeplessness

Hey everyone. As you can see from the title i had an incident with yohimbe bark. I took this for the yohimbine in it of course since it was cheaper to yohimbine hcl.Even though it does not say it is standardized, i have read all yohimbe bark supplements have around 2-3% of yohimbine in them. That means around 10-15mg of yohimbine in one 500mg capsule. Anyway the directions say to take 1-3 capsules per day with a meal. I took 2 around 11am fasted for like 3 hours then ate. Nothing special. At night though around 1am i got to sleep, i finally slept at 6am... So i am asking is it because of the yohimbine or should i throw it out of the window? Thank you! =)

10 to 15 mg of yohimbine is a lot...

Yohimbine HCL is usually sold around 2.5mg to 3mg per cap.

I would check out SNS Yohimbine 2.5 much easier to control the dosage protocol.
Plus I wouldn't take any stimulants no later then 4 or 5pm, so that they're out of
your system completely by bedtime.

Agreed with the above. SNS is quality so I would definitely suggest it before trying others.

Yohimbine has the same effect on me in doses that high. I take MTS yohimbine hcl. It's cheap IMO. I can't tolerate more than 7.5mg a day or I can't sleep at all. If my memory serves me correctly the dosages used in the studies done with yohimbine is 0.2mg per kg of body weight. There's no way I can personally tolerate that amount although I have a low tolerance for stims I'm general.

I would agree with the info above - buy a standardized yohimbine-hcl or alpha-yohimbine product so you know exactly how much you're taking. Depending on the dose I've experienced problems with sleeping while using yohimbine hcl, even when dosing it in the morning or several hours before I plan to go to sleep.

If you find that y-hcl gives you trouble, I would try out alpha-yohimbine. I've always had a better experience with alpha-y, and I've never felt like it took away from my sleep quality. It's a little more expensive than yohimbe bark or yohimbine-hcl, but I would prefer to pay the extra few dollars to ensure a good night sleep. Check out TA2 Max if you're interested in trying out an alpha-y product.
