YG and creatine uptake

yeahright

Well-known member
Any thoughts on whether the mechanism of action for YG would enhance creatine uptake (especially a creatine combined with a designer carbohydrate carrier like Vitargo, Size-On, etc.)?

It was my understanding and experience that supplements that enhance glycogen uptake increase creatine uptake as well. ALA and creatine have been synergistic in my experience. I would imagine YG would be the same or better.

Yep....that was my line of thinking.

This is what USPLabs posted in my YG log when I asked if YG could help with creatine uptake in a normal creatine responder.

"Creatine is a welcomed addition to any stack and the MOST proven supplement in the industry. YG and creatine will work great together. I am not so sure about YG increasing the effectiveness of creatine. They sure will cause in synergy in muscle growth."

so if i took a serving of YG and 15 min later downed say a serving of waxy maize starch with cee. Am I on the right line of thinking with this?

On a related note....was just reading about the active in YG in the Wall Street Journal oddly enough.

Apparently it's being looked at as an arthritis treatment (so far the evidence is mixed). However, the article did say that the anti-inflamatory effects are well documented and that no toxicity had been observed in either rats or humans.

Well, that's interesting. USP may have accidently stumbled upon another great all-around health supplement ala Cissus.

Its been used in Chinese medicine for over 1500 years. Some Phellodendron extracts are already being used in some herbal anti-inflammatory remedies you can buy OTC. The great use USP found for it however I cant find anywhere else. Just did a new sheath on this subject and I see a lot of Patent-pending for extracts by companies for the anti-inflammatory (doesn't bother the stomach lining either) uses of this plant. From what I have found it IS another "all around health supplement" :)

We been getting alot of "my joints feel better" response with Anabolic Pump. I'm not claiming anything...nor did I put that effect out there.

USP, I had the most incredible pump earlier today, and it lasted a while after my workout. I'm also noticing that I seem to be utlizing my carbs better, and leaning out in the process. Energy levels are up in the gym, and endurance is also much better! Either way, this product is now a staple for me! :)

And it gives me something to tell people when they ask me what I'm taking. "Whats that? " "Oh, thats an an anti-inflammatory" :o

Sure is a nice "side-effect" to have...

Better than the answer I usually give: "Ummmm, some powder extract of something from someone I met on the internet." :stick:

Try having to explain to someone that's not into health supplements that sees you capping your YG... and then telling them that the powder is, "Ummmm, some powder extract of something from someone I met on the internet." :ntome:

i like when my co workers look at me when I have a 1/4 teaspoon of yellow powder in a napkin before the gym they are like

I had noted that my joints felt better in my tester log. I do find it strange, however, that is seems to increase DOMS to me???
