I think most if not all of these ab gels and creams affect local water retention and also tighten the skin. Pretty sure that’s about the extent of localized effects

I don't believe localized fat loss is possible, you can probably manipulate water in that area and tighten the skin but not target fat loss from a specific area. Fat loss is achieved by a burning of calories. So for a transdermal to cause localized fat loss it would have to specifically make you burn more calories in that area? Dosent really seem possible. Also once a TD passes through the skin it goes systemic, it doesn't just stay in a local area.

At least to the best of my understanding. I don't know anything for certain, I'm just leaning really far twords this side of the fence

I cant speak for the absolved but the suppress-C is amazing. They're prob the best topicals between all the sponsors.
My abs have never looked better after starting it, its not supposed to be localized but I always look leaner when I apply it directly on my stomach.

suppress c being a cortisol blocker will do that. AET-50 by apex and iron legion invictus too. It’s because cortisol seems to directly affect how much fat gets stored around the mid section. Reduce cortisol, you reduce that fat storage pathway. Still not true spot reduction

All good info !

I like Ab-Solved. If anybody remembers EvoMuse Absolutely Abliderated, this is the closest thing to it. My only complaint is that if you apply it to your lower stomach, you'll notice a dry residue left on your pants/shorts.

Wonder if it’s possible for a chemical/supplement to cause lipolysis in a certain area? The “release” of free fatty acids would probably have to be paired with exercise to burn for energy? 🤷🏽‍♂️

anytime a sonobello commercial comes on talking about "reduce your belly fat in just one appointment" my wife is like "maybe I should just do that!" lol

Wait there is no Easy button ?! ;)

I am going to order some of this, to try on my stubborn love handles. I will use it fasted pre cardio.

I don't really get it... but I'm curious and interested. reviews seem to be pretty good and the discussion here on AM was positive:

My diet and exercise is on point so we will see how it works ????

Maybe you guys could apply it on each other and post pics of the application process for me so I know to do it. Purely scientific

Sorry Vicki and I have already teamed up for this!

I would love to hear anyone's thoughts on this who has used it ! Is spot reduction even possible ?

Yes, it is definitely possible.

The term 'spot reduction' kind of gets a bad reputation and stereotype from all the scam products and late night infomercial type products over the years, so sometimes people just have an automatic negative perception towards these types of products, but just because many of them over the years have been scams meant to target water loss or tighten skin doesn't mean that there aren't legitimate great options available.

The negative connotation towards the term 'spot reduction' is why I don't call Ab-Solved spot reduction, I view it as a localized fat loss product.

Ab-Solved isn't and isn't claiming to be some type of magical rub it on and fat melts right off type of thing.

Ab-Solved is designed to deliver ingredients that can help burn body-fat directly to the area(s) where the fat is that the individual would like to burn.

An interesting history on Ab-solved:
Back in the early days here on AM, Avant Labs was one of the most beloved companies on this and other forums. They had cult like following of many of the smartest people to post for any company and the owner of Avant (Par) was one of the smartest people to ever post here.

Avant Labs was the first company to really pioneer the use of topical (which some people call transdermal) products into the bodybuilding market and to this day, their td carrier is considered by many to be the gold standard for td carriers.

The original Ab-Solved formula was created by the owner of Avant and was an extremely popular and very much loved formula here that had tons of positive feedback on it.

Ab-Solved by Xtreme Performance Gels is an updated version of that original formula and was done by Par himself.

I somehow missed this thread so I wanted to post on and reply to a few things, so instead of doing like 10 separate posts, I just multi-quoted a lot of different ones into this one post to reply to.

I think most if not all of these ab gels and creams affect local water retention and also tighten the skin. Pretty sure that’s about the extent of localized effects

That is the extent of a lot of the more heavily marketed ones but not all of them.

There are many products out there that try to trick customers by using ingredients to alleviate fluid retention and tighten skin, which can lead them to think that they are working but that's not what products like Ab-Solved do or are all about.

Ab-Solved by Avant was an extremely popular product here on AM for may years when Avant made it and Ab-Solved by XPG is an upgraded formula designed by the owner of Avant and licensed to XPG as the modern day version.

The premise of products like this are to deliver the fat loss ingredients specifically to the fat cell area that the user wants to target with them.

That is what I was thinking, but I would like to hear from someone who has used it ??

There have been some reviews on the XPG version here but if you do a search for Ab-Solved in thread titles and search back years to the old Avant Ab-Solved, you can find tons of info and positive feedback and the version now is that + more.

I explained in simple terms above how the product works and how it differs from the products that target a diuretic and tightening effect, but wanted to comment specifically on what you said here about td carriers.

Par spoke on this quite often and went into great scientific detail but basically, the way that the td carrier is designed dictates whether the carrier is best for localized or systemic use. Any carrier that is systemic will have some localized impact just as any carrier that is localized will have some systemic effect, but it can be designed to stay very much majority localized.

That's been pretty well established by the science minds on the td carriers and mechanisms over the years.

You just don't hear as much about localized carriers as most of the time, one would want a systemic carrier; but in Ab-Solved's case that would be different.

I cant speak for the absolved but the suppress-C is amazing. They're prob the best topicals between all the sponsors.
My abs have never looked better after starting it, its not supposed to be localized but I always look leaner when I apply it directly on my stomach.

I'm glad that you like Suppress-C and I agree, its an amazing product.

It's interesting that you said that about your abs appearing leaner when you applied it directly to your stomach because back when we used to do Suppress-C under CEL, we had a lot of feedback stating the same thing - so it would make sense that it would carry over to the XPG version of Suppress-C since we license that to them and they use the same carrier.

And I had just mentioned above that certain systemic carriers may also have localized impact and it would make sense that the active ingredient in Suppress-C may have a selective impact on fat in the abdominal region.

suppress c being a cortisol blocker will do that. AET-50 by apex and iron legion invictus too. It’s because cortisol seems to directly affect how much fat gets stored around the mid section. Reduce cortisol, you reduce that fat storage pathway. Still not true spot reduction

I don't think that @Drakee was saying that Suppress-C was meant to cause specific spot reduction, just giving an observation that he and many others have seen with it. I remember feedback from people all the way back to when Suppress-C was a CEL product many years ago that they seemed to notice an effect on fat in the abdominal region when the applied it there.

We never marketed it for that back then but it became pretty common feedback on it - and we always chalked it up to the carrier mechanism causing some type of localized impact on fat cells there.

That was one of the reasons back then that many theorized that it may affect fat loss in ways additional to its cortisol control benefits.

I like Ab-Solved. If anybody remembers EvoMuse Absolutely Abliderated, this is the closest thing to it. My only complaint is that if you apply it to your lower stomach, you'll notice a dry residue left on your pants/shorts.

I love Ab-Solved myself too. I had used it when it first came back out under XPG and it helped me a lot.

As soon as I can get back in the swing of things and lose some initial fat I've gained after the accident, I definitely plan on using it again.

Wonder if it’s possible for a chemical/supplement to cause lipolysis in a certain area? The “release” of free fatty acids would probably have to be paired with exercise to burn for energy? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Great post.

Yes, I believe you are correct on that in that it could be simplified into viewing it as releasing the fat in certain areas to be burned by the person - like where I made the distinction in an above post that Ab-Solved isn't one of the scam bs products that claims to do the work for you, but if you're already doing the work, it could help dramatically imo.

I don't really get it... but I'm curious and interested. reviews seem to be pretty good and the discussion here on AM was positive:

I hope that my above posts help explain it a little better and I'm glad to answer any questions on it.

My diet and exercise is on point so we will see how it works ????

I think that you will have great results with it. The tighter your diet and exercise is, in theory the better this should work, and I'm looking very forward to seeing your results.

yeah I'm super curious... almost tempted to try a bottle in tandem with you

I think that you would be very pleased with it, especially as controlled as your regimen is.

Not yet, I got an order being held till some other stuff comes in.

I'm excited to see your results from Ab-Solved.

Mine is on the way, I will keep you folks updates!

I have just got back to using mine this week, I will post my thought soon !! I will say it applies very well with no lasting smell or residue.

any updates on your guys’ journey?

I actually did use it pretty religiously that week I was in mexico lol. I have a sneaking suspicion that it likely does work but I have tapered off because too many days in a row and it seem to dry out/irritate my skin a bit. I'll finish the bottle when I take a break from the other TDs I'm using now.

Try some good moisturizing lotion

oh man i'm using gobs of it already lol. these PNW winters have my forearms, backs of my hands and nipples drying out after 2 hot showers day before work and after gym lol

Sorry to hear that.

A couple of tips on that:
- Moisturize daily in the application areas - I use Gold Bond lotion or NOW Coconut Oil.
- If you have dry or sensitive skin, don't put it on immediately after a shower; wait for your skin to dry thoroughly before applying it. When you get out of the shower, your skin is at its most sensitive point in general.

My skin is super sensitive to everything. I can't even change dryer sheets without worrying it will cause issues.

I'm going to keep all of that in consideration and try to figure out how I shower then wait the right amount of time to apply topicals lol. I get what you're saying but between getting out of the shower and getting dressed I can only helicopter in front of the wife for so long before she's no longer impressed and I need to put on clothes

The reason that I specify that about not applying it immediately after a shower is that some td brand reps in the past have suggested that is the best time to apply them - immediately after a shower. No offense to the people that have said that, its just definitely not true for people with sensitive skin like me. So I always explain to people its best to wait.

Ab-Solved dries so quickly. I've been doing a pretty intensive fat loss supplement regimen for the last 2 weeks and plan to start back on it on Sunday and I'll do what I did in the past - shower, leave, come to work and then just pull my shirt up and apply it when I get to work (which is about 30 minutes after I get out of shower usually). And then do a second dose at night.

I'm in impatient mode bc I'd really let myself go and gained a lot of fat last year and trying to lose it asap, so I'm going to be pretty generous with my dosing and will probably go with the 2 ml 3x per day instead of twice haha.

Sounds reasonable. I have an extremely OCD morning ritual.
Shower > towel off > air dry > put on contacts first before hands touch anything else > walk into bedroom like a greek adonis to fetch the cup of coffee my wife has waiting for me > back to bathroom to apply lotion if needed > 1/2 dose dermacrine to traps and 1/2 serving sustain alpha on non training day. or full dose dermacrine on training day > brush teeth, hair, dress > leave to work lol.

but if I'm going to try ultra hard pre workout instead of 5 hrs earlier then I'll have to do that at work anyways

I tried it and still have it. As say @Smont nothing will be effective without calorie burning.

It also depends on the consistency of fat you want to burn/lose. So if it's a thin layer of fat fit that's nice and if you have a layer as thick as a bed quilt in the winters you're going to have to work harder.

Pay attention to the calories you eat, take stock of the calories you burn during sport. And what you will add more than AB solved. Like some oral fat burner

Take into account if you are doing sarms or Ph too..
Goes without saying to respect sleep etc.

So when I used it.
I complemented it with TD APEX.
And also 11-keto

I had satisfactory results after a month. Reduction of love handles. But I was doing targeted exercises, which must have caused a leverage effect with the sport in the club.

Did you try it? I was looking at trying flash point by apex alchemy

Yes in complet of AB. good and serious effet...

Of course the better a persons diet and exercise regimen, the more fat they're going to allow themselves to lose.

But I want to point out and clarify that a person doesn't have to be super lean to get benefits from Ab-Solved.

I've been trying to make some positive changes in my own diet the last few weeks where I gained a lot of fat after my accident and I've been doing quite the extensive fat loss supplement regimen and I plan on adding Ab-Solved in next week.

I have the body type where I have a very small waist bone structure so as I lose fat, I actually wind up looking fatter before I look leaner because I lose everywhere else first and it makes me look like I have a beer gut. I'm adding Ab-Solved in to help try to specifically target that area more and also for the overall health benefits (Ab-Solved has some nice attributes about helping burn visceral fat, which is the type of fat most commonly associated with fatty liver and a variety of other health conditions.

A couple of interesting snippets on visceral fat:

Visceral body fat, also known as 'hidden' fat, is fat stored deep inside the belly, wrapped around the organs, including the liver and intestines.

Visceral fat was associated with all components of the metabolic syndrome. Conclusion: Visceral fat is directly associated with liver inflammation and fibrosis independent of insulin resistance and hepatic steatosis.

Thank you for this clarification. I was beginning to think that maybe this wasn’t going to work for me but this is exactly my situation too. Minus the accident, just a sever bout of depression again.

Thank you for this clarification. I was beginning to think that maybe this wasn’t going to work for me but this is exactly my situation too. Minus the accident, just a sever bout of depression again.

You're welcome.

There seems to be the common perception on here, and its very inaccurate, that people have to already be very lean to see results from a product like Ab-Solved and that's just not the case at all.

Of course for anyone that is leaner, losing say 1 lb. of fat in their abdomen or love handles is probably going to be more noticeable just because they have less to lose so every bit is more visible - BUT that doesn't mean that it works any less than for those of us that have more weight to lose.

Take me for example:
I was in a really bad accident last year and almost died. I was in the hospital for 10 days, a wheelchair for 5 weeks, and then physical therapy 5 days a week for 6 months. I've always struggled with depression and the last year has been the worst I've ever experienced and I just completely quit trying to eat right and let myself go. I lost a lot of muscle and gained a lot of fat.

Me getting started back is complicated because 1) because of the lack of motivation and depression, and 2) because I still can't workout, and 3) because I have a lot of food allergies, and 4) because I have an autoimmune condition and I can't make any sudden changes to my diet, even positive ones, without it causing a flareup to my autoimmune condition. Plus, I'm a single dad with a special needs daughter who likes to cook sometimes, and I refuse to let my diet get in the way of her happiness and I will eat bad when she sees a new treat and wants to make it bc its important and special to her.

So, for me in starting back trying to lose fat and improve my overall health, I am doing a very extensive fat loss stack and I'm using more than most people would, but I am having to rely on supplements a lot because of my circumstances and my lack of motivation towards diet, training, and life in general dictates that I need to get some results fast.

Where I'm going with all of that is to make a point about how people perceive fat loss and products working as far as seeing visible pronounced differences.

The last time I used Ab-Solved, it was before my accident and I was leaner so the results were very noticeable because I was leaner to begin with.

This time, I'm adding in Ab-Solved and Suppress-C on Sunday on top of the other supplements I'm doing.

Just because I'm a lot heavier doesn't mean the product isn't going to work as well; it just means I have more fat to lose, so it may take awhile longer for the results to be as visually evident BUT importantly, I'm also using it for results that I can't see - like visceral fat loss as pertains to metabolic issues and fatty liver, because even lean I had issues with fatty liver for some reason, and I'd honestly be scared to even know what its like right now. So I'm using Ab-Solved to help lose fat cosmetically but also to target visceral fat for health purposes.

(Same for TTA-500 which has been shown to help with fat loss and fatty liver - this one, especially in females).

Where this plays a role in perspective on fat loss - in the first 3 weeks, I'd lost right at 20 lbs. The scale drives me nuts though, so I've told myself that I'm not going to weigh again until I'm sure visually that I've lost another 20 lbs.

Where this plays a role in my reply in this thread is that the leaner a person is, the more pronounced x amount of lbs. of fat loss is going to be - like I'm super happy to have lost 20 lbs. in 3 weeks, especially without exercise and only making slight dietary changes - but now that I'm 20 lbs. less, the next 20 lbs. is going to visually be more significant, as will the 20 lbs. after that.

But I'm not waiting until after the next 20 lbs. to add in Ab-Solved, I'm adding it in Sunday because I feel that it will help me lose the weight faster and lose it in my problem areas a lot faster than I would otherwise.

Sorry for typing out so much information, I just wanted to be thorough and try to explain it out in a way that makes sense.

No, no…don’t be sorry at ALL. This is exactly what I needed and wanted to hear I just honestly didn’t know how to ask for the exact same reasons you mentioned above. I am going to DM you. I’d be interested to know what stack you are on so that I can see if that may work for me as well. I’ve got my diet dialed in and slowly I am getting active again but my main focus has been meal prep and diet. I actually just ordered 2 bottles of the AB-Solved and am taking DCP and Brite (sorry if it’s taboo to mention them here but I wanted to be transparent) to stack with it, on top of a fat burner to help control my eating. I’d love to know what you’ve got going on cuz whatever you are taking with the situation you are in is similar to mine. Of course, no accident and I don’t have an adorable little munchkin that wants me taste test her food….just a significant other that’s food addicted and, well, I fall off the wagon one or two meals a week. Anyhow, I’d love to chat if you’re up for it. My DM is open if you’re willing to discuss. Many thanks.

Sounds great. I'll send you a pm. I don't mind you mentioning those two products in the thread; they aren't ones I take myself, but nothing against them, I just prefer other options. I'll send you a pm.

Steve, what is your total weight loss goal ?
