Would there be a difference?

Legend
On my heavy lifting days, I perform reps as the following

Week 1

5x5 @ 70%-80% of my 1 rep max

Week 2

6x4 @ 75%-85% of my 1 rep max

Week 3

7x3 @ 80%-90% of my 1 rep max

Week 4

8x2 @ 85%-95% of my 1 rep max

Normally, I go with straight sets, ramping the weight up and try to hit the prescribed weight. Here is an example from my push day this past week:

195x2
195x2
200x2
200x2
205x2
205x2
210x2
210x2

I was thinking of changing this up and perform this in the following way:

195x2
200x2
205x2
210x2
210x2
205x2
200x2
195x2

Would switching it up by pyramiding up and then back down provide any benefits or drawbacks? I am think that way would allow the top set to go a little more smoothly. Thoughts?

Just my 2 cents...

Your total volume will suffer immensely if you stay doing it this way. I feel to WmUp properly and then do your prescribed Sets and Reps will elicit actual growth rather than pyramiding the weight up or down. Its really the only way to build that muscular endurance and challenge the muscle within the proper ranges to see growth. If you cannot hit the prescribed intensity then you have overshot somewhere. Do you periodize your training or how do you determine your "heavy days"
