Years ago, another guy and I found ourselves in the presence of a lot of unsavory characters (we weren't doing anything wrong) ...
The guy I was with was a pretty Big guy, and .... This dude (my friend later called him "Tree", to give you an idea how big he was) .... Started yapping at the guy I was with, in a threatening manner. .... I guess because he was the biggest guy there, besides himself. And I could tell my friend was a little concerned, but he was neither escalating, or backing down. He could tell that I had his back (I'd have chopped "Tree" right down, LOL).
But thankfully, Tree got distracted by something else, and moved on.

"Tree". ... LOL
