Craziest fish I ever caught and maybe the most dangerous….about a 3 1/2 to 4’ Gar in a creek in Louisiana. My buddies tried to get it in our big net to see if we could get it in the boat. Its jaws never stopped chomping, those teeth tore that net to shreds. I just cut the line before we got hurt. But an awesome experience. That was probably 25 years ago, and my buddy says that creek hasn’t had any big fish in it since Katrina.😞

Wow. I've caught them, but I think the biggest one I caught was probably 3'. But that's big enough. They're incredibly strong, and like you said, they never stop moving and biting.
The first one I ever caught.... I threw it into a Styrofoam cooler.... That cooler was in 100 pieces in less than 10 seconds. Hahahah!

I've caught catfish in irrigation canals for farms (in Texas I believe) ... 40 pounds or more. And frogs .... Over 3 feet, stretched out.
