why don't doctors/nurses asperate?

I've never seen them do it.

Most just slam the needle in and inject.

My biggest fear is shooting in a vein. I can't imagine what kind of experience that would be.

My fiancé said they should all aspirate but most don't bc of how rare it is to not be in the muscle...she said you can feel when your in the muscle tho she always aspirates just to be safe....she is a Physicians assistant

Well as a paramedic and married to a nurse it is standard to aspirate. If they don't, they are using improper technique and could cause serious damage. You could inject into a nerve plexus or directly into a vein.
