Why do B vitamins supplements have such high amounts?

Ok,

I get it that B vitamins are water soluble and can't accumumate, and are high to overdose.
But that also means that any excess will be flushed out.

So why not just make supplements that are 100% of daily need? Why do they have to be 1500%?

Is the reason because they are poorly absorbed and therefore manufacturers need to overshoot?

This came to my mind as I'm pretty pissed by the acne biotin is giving me.
I'm pretty sure if my supplement was only dosed at 100%-200% it would do its job with hair growth, body functions, but wouldn't mess with B5 absorption

RDA is not the same for everyone, as people have varying amounts of needs. B vitamins also give short jolts of energy for most people as they could be deficient.

theres better things out there for hair growth than biotin

MSM, Grape seed, Silica, GLA, Zinc, Taurine just to name a few i feel ive had more success with than megadosing biotin.
if you want less of the B vitamins just look for a one a day multi that will prbly have about 100-200% biotin
