Who believes that using Smaller Plates and Utensils helps with overeating?

I was curious about what people think about this theory. I find that weighing my food is what helps me stay on track with how much food to consume at each meal, but many people think that using smaller plates will help them not overeat.

what do you all think? thanks in advance.

I think it could definitely help. I know that I personally feel like I kinda have to clean my plate, ya know. So smaller plates could definitely help me eat less.

I think it's a great idea and it's a great way for someone to manage portion size as long as they don't pile their plates too high.

This is so true, I've seen people eat out of smaller plates but the amount of food on their was enough to feed 3 people

It helps. I won't totally fix an eating problem, but part of most people's overeating is not understanding what the portion sizes really are. 4oz of chicken thigh vs 7 oz isn't totally obvious to everyone. same with 3/4 cup of mashed potatoes to 1 1/2 cups. And the calories just add up

True I totally agree with what you said. I have a hard time judging portions so that's why I weigh my food to make sure I'm getting enough. Neither over or under
