If you can't see what the expiration date on it is or if it never had one to begin with, you first have to realize that it is a supplement. Supplements degrade when exposed to light, heat, age, etc. That being said, I don't know that creatine could degrade into anything toxic. It would certainly lose its potency given enough time. Depending upon how you have stored it, you should be okay after only a year. Does it look like Creatine mono- All white and fine powder? Does it smell okay? - Not much of a smell to it. If you are worried about using it, remember Creatine mono is very inexpensive now and can be purchased in bulk for several dollars for 100 grams.How long before Mono expires?
