Whey Protien

get a protien with lots of extra, like high glutamine levels, amino acids BCAAs, protien ......I use MHP up your mass half serving

depends on what you're using it for. Post-workout you want some sort of fast acting whey protein, typically isolate to spike blood amino acid levels post workout. Before bed you could use some sort of casein to get a time-released effect and keep amino acids "trickling" into your blood stream throughout the night. Gainer powders if you're a hard gainer and need more calories are a good option. Again, it's dependent on what your goal is/what you're using it for

If you have any allergies to milk or whey you might have to try an egg protein or veggie protein.
Some cheaper concentrates will make you fart something fierce.

Nutrapro is pretty yum.

simply put.....when it comes to protein powder, there is no "best".

one protein powder isnt going to give you better results than another, its best to just find one that fits your budget/tastes good.

myofusion, xtreme formulations whey/UP 2.0, nutrapro would be my first choices

EDIT:
and dont fall into the, you need casein before sleep myth......your body isnt going to go catabolic overnight, if you want to take a casein shake before bed thats perfectly fine, but it wont effect body comp. same goes for needing a fast absorbing whey after a workout.......as long as your daily protein macro's are hit, you're good to go.

I use scivations whey, dirt cheap, tastes good.

hmmmm, i wonder if another company is going to be coming out with a great tasting protein at a great price in the near future =]

I always use either isolate or hydrolyzed for my serious times and if I need something that taste really good I use whey to build muscle.

Personally I like monster milk. Notice I said monster. :)

A) Not going to pay a high price and not like drinking it. The stuff can be pretty tasty. B) not like it might not make a huge difference but they add creatine & few other goodies. C) 50g protein

Usually with 1 shake I can reach my protein goals each day with food of course.

There could be some downsides. 310 calories, 13g carbs, compared to others. It's 16oz as well.

Like most have said find what you like and what fits your budget
