A serious worldwide shortage in Milk Protein has caused an increase in Whey
Protein prices globally. As dairy manufactures shift to more profitable Milk Powder production, whey protein is going to be in short supply. Thus the old supply and demand theory.
According to "The Milkweed", a dairy news publication, this shortage could last until December of 2007. Whey prices could possibly increase 50% over this time frame.
