although, there IS some good eye candy in the summer by the lakes.
 
Hi Dick, Hi Scorpio,

Forgive my complete lack of knowledge on US geography, but isn't Waco located in central/north Texas and SA south/central...ish!?

I just ask, as I'm trying to find somewhere decent to go on holiday in Texas, I was thinking more of the coast (Caribbean sun+US Service=Happy LM&Missus!), but prob. not Corpus Christi or any of the more 'touristy' places!

im from katy texas myself. padre is a good choice for vacation but you just missed peek season. i know you said you didnt want a tourist place but i know you wouldnt be disapointed with padre during spring break.
