Skateboarder Jake Brown, who bailed out above the quarterpipe from about 45 feet in the air and crashed against the flat portion of the mega-ramp, remains hospitalized this afternoon.

The 32-year-old Australian, who went limp for several minutes after crashing to the ramp, sustained a liver contusion, said Danny Way, fellow skateboarder and mega-ramp inventor. Way had been in phone contact with Brown this afternoon.

"That was the gnarliest thing I've ever seen in my life," said Pierre-Luc Gagnon, another top-flight skateboarder who was standing on the arena floor during Brown's final run.

Fellow competitors thought Brown was crouched too low when he took off from the top of the quarterpipe and that his momentum shot him away from the wall.

Brown had landed the first-ever 720-degree revolution on the mega-ramp. When he shot above the 27-foot-tall quarterpipe to complete his run, he threw his board out of his way and flailed his arms and legs in an attempt to prepare for a hard landing. His entire body, beginning with his feet and concluding with his head, smashed hard against the ramp.

Nothing sounds like an F-1 race!

I did however once ride in a pace car at the Homestead Speedway for a Nascar Race! VERY cool! Those bank turns are awesome! :head:

How good of a carb is Corn?

Just heated up a full can, with some butter and 12oz of London Broil. Was curious how quality of a carb the corn was.
