Ok- last question for the contest..... How big (in lbs., estimated) was the marlin I brought to the boat (and then cut off on the engine mount when we were trying to gaff him) and lost on vacation?
 
haha..estimated....we gotta have it already dirk...unless it was a big bastard and weight 400lbs...but i dunno...that'll be my last guess

John wins!!!

We had only been out about 20 mins. when we hooked him- we were fishing for dolphin and wahoo off a point near my aunt's house- so the tackle was fairly light for a fish that size...

Me and Ray (my buddy who owned the boat) passed the rod back and forth for 4.5 HOURS until we finally got him right to the boat- Ray went to gaff him, and he decided to run one last time straight under the boat, and the line got stuck on the engine mount as I tried to swing to the other side- snapped the line clean....

I dropped about 50 f'bombs in two minutes :(
 
haha...crazy man....honestly id be scared to catch something that big....f-that..hahah..

thats a huuuuuuuuge as* fish!...sounds like you hadda good well needed vacation though bro
