To make your own: Process two cups of blanched and toasted whole almonds in a food processor for a few minutes, add up to one teaspoon of salt, then process for a few minutes more. Yields a bit more than one cup.

What you saw there is referred to as the Caesar Square Cipher. 64 characters are used, 8 rows of 8. You right the message starting top left, and going down as opposed to the right. The "encryption comes from providing the message as it appears in the square via traditional means.

Basically, write the series of letters in order normally, in 8 rows of 8.... but then read top to bottom starting on the left.

Ahhh cool, thanks bro!! Damn wehn i was looking at that thing before anyone had clue about the grid thing, i found da vinci in both sides, didn't think it meant anything :(
