When measuring IGF1

since a thread was started for this, i've got some 30g, 3/10 slin pins on the way, what's the tick calculator on something like that?
 
Some pins it'll be 10mcg and others 20mcg, you have to count the ticks between the 10iu mark. Some have 2iu marks an others have 1iu marks, so 1000mcg suspended in 1 ml of solvent would work out to 1iu on the pin equally 10mcg, so pins with 2iu marks would be 20mcg

OK got the IGF

ok here's the quesiton--the IGF comes as 1000mcg/1mL therefore, how in the world can 40mcg be measured with a 29gauge 1/2" 1cc slin pin? unless there are 100 ticks on the syringe--it will be impossible to measure--for if there are only 10 ticks, then that would mean 100mcg per tick---how in the world could you get 40mcg then? HELP me please!!!

additionally, the vial contains 1mL of IGF---this is insanely small compared to the size of the vial--should I just plunge it in directly or try to hold the vial upside down to get the amount?

A 1cc slin pin is 100iu's which is divided into multiples of tens (10, 12, 30, etc). Each multiple of ten is divided up by ticks. The pins that i have are further divided by 2 so that there are 4 ticks between each ten mark. In this case each tick is 20mcg's.

You can also get pins that are divided by one (usually 1/2 cc or 1/3 cc pins) so that you have 9 ticks between each ten mark. In this case each tick is 10mcg.
 
Can someone show a photo of such a pin so I can see how it will measure out-- all the pics I found on the net were soo blurry when enlarged----so if you have a 29g 1/2" 1cc slin pin from getpinz.com , this will have enough ticks on it to measure out 40 mcg?

There will be 50 ticks, numbered every 10iu. Like this:

-----[ ||||10||||20||||30||||40||||50||||60||||70||||80||||90||||100]----[

Two ticks will be equivelant to 40mcg. Those are 100iu syringes, that have 50 ticks marked. Each tick = two iu. 2, 4, 6, 8 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20... and so on. Hope that makes sense. With igf, it's money at stake if you measure incorrectly, with slin it could be a lot worse, so be careful! ;)

Damn Bro good job, I might have to cut and paste that for the guy that asks that same question :cheers:

I like B-D's best but they are hard to find, the ones that come in a 10 pin bag have the 1iu ticks. Haven't used the therumo(sp) in a long time but the last time I used them they had removable tips which wouldn't be good for IGF-1. Some could stay in the void between the plunger and the needle.

So if I want to shoot 40mcg of igf-1, I pull out 4iu = 2ticks, right? And then how many IU of BW do I have to pull out? 50IU is ok? After all these do I inject or I have to shake it first?
