Whats next for me?

Im currently running some Ghenerate and I GH 1 for roughly the next two months, well see how long that lasts and how it works. Im using all the staples and eating about the best I can with my schedule. I get sleep and im constantly working on improving my workouts. I just need some suggestions on what to go on to/run next, to see some more gains. Im trying to make 15 more pounds by christmas, roughly 185-200, and Im gona have to work crazy hard to do it. Im 5' 8.5" and 185 right now, I consume about 5k calls a day, sometimes a bit more. Im trying to bulk, obviously as I stated. I would like to stay bellow 12%bf, as I will be cutting after this for spring and need to be around 8 or less then. Im 8.9 right now, as measured, but Im getting re measured monday, and Im estimating Im a little closer to 10. So what do you got, throw it at me? Ive though about running the complete natty stack after this, switching from jack3d to ASGT, maybe a different GH/test booster or something but I need some guidance. Your opinions are much appreciated!

Calories will add mass. The better quality the calories, the better the results. Add 1-2 cups of oats daily and some chicken breasts.

GH/Test Boosters won't do much for putting on mass, neither will pre-workouts really they just give you energy.

How old are you and how long training?

I already do take about 2 cups of either oats or an alternative, as much as my schedule permits, and I get plenty of cals, I get near 7k when im not sick like I have been. Im still steadily gaining weight, and Im getting more chicken next time I go to the store. I have my diet and basic supps as best as I can get them, and ive been working at different combinations and dosings to see what works best for me over the past year so im getting pretty close to my best. I just need to know what to do for my next step. and yes, but a better workouts translates into better gains. So im still looking for some suggestions.

What exactly is the point of these then? because I always have better gains when on one.

The point? Capitalize on dudes who want to get big! Multi, fish oil, whey, and creatine are the proven choices that are reasonable.

Why do you get better gains? Placebo effect. If you paid for something and think you have "super powers", you work harder or push yourself more while thinking you're "on" something. Seriously, people feel better on stuff, but diet and exercise is 95% of it, even with steroids (though that will add mass, but not without proper diet and exercise). The mind is very powerful.

Some stuff does increase testosterone levels, but the levels will not translate into significant mass differences. Test use for muscle building is many times higher, supraphysiological. Best you could hope for is slight leaning out.

If you want to throw money around, go for it, but to add strength and size it's the mastery of the basics that counts.

How do you get 7000 calories? At 184lbs, you'd be putting on lots of weight/fat unless you're running marathons daily and you'd be ripped. I didn't even eat that much when I rowed crew in college and spent 2-3K calories a workout!

Honestly, do you track your diet daily, and how do you count your calories?

Yea diets going to be the main key however you should definitly have your basics covered. I would definitly pick a good creatine product, i would opt to choose the SizeOn Max Performance, has good dose of Creatine with awesome dose of Branched Chain AAs and aswell as glycerophosphate which will help alot of cell volumazation and just overall looking fuller/bigger.

ofcouse Test boosters and all that will help to a certian degree, but if diets not in check then they really wont do much. My 2 favorite test boosters are Activate Xtreme and Mass FX, you can easily attain a 4-6lb weight gain with the assitance of those supplements in about a months time.

Well like I said 7k is on a good day when im eating as much as I can. my shakes them selves give me 2.4 k, a gallon a milk a day gives me 16 x 90 = 1400 calls roudly so theres 3.8 k in liquid. over half. from food, breakfast is usually around 600 cals, mid day snack is only like 200, lunch is three milks three entrees two veges and a fruit, then big dinner at home is about 1k cals, snack before bed can be anywhere from 500 to 1000 calls and I usually try and fit another meal in but that isnt always. so 3.8+.6+.2+1+1=6.6 k calls more if I get that extra meal... This doesnt account if I eat ranch or something stupid with something at lunch because you can easily through several hundred more cals in there, or If I eat something else stupid. But I almost never do that anymore because of trying to keep my diet clean 98% of the time.... as for the basics Ive tried three types of creatine and they all workout about the same for me. Ive tried 6 proteins, and 3 multi Vs, I dont take fish oil or another efa but I dont know that I really need because I get some efas in annother supp I take. I dont have the time or the reasources to measure foods to exact amounts, because the lunches I eat, I cant see nutritional values for, only rough ones I can look up online. Im young, and have a fast metabolism. Ive been told by alot of big guys to eat eat eat, and I do eat eat eat.

I keep a healthy balanced diet and if going whole grain or lean is an option I get it. trust me. Obviously I though all that through and did my best before coming to you guys for help...

I dont know that the placebo affect could make me gain from 174 - 188 in two months but if it can, screw supps :P (sarcasm)

I have said a buncha times and I will keep saying that My diet is well, and I do my best to improve little things everyday. Im always striving to get a little better...

If GHenerate and Igh1 wont actually do anything, why have so many guys told me what awesome gains Ill get and how much Ill love it? why even stack it? Ive seen guys with logs on here using Ghenerate alone and with IGH1 is supposed to be 10x better.

If the increased test levels do nothing for me, then whats the point of the product? either way I sleep alot better and feel better recovery, you cant give that to placebo.... haha. so its good.

And Im not trying to be disrespectful or anything here, I trust what you guys are saying, your just giving me a hard time about it it seems...

imo, as far as having "superpowers" when on this; its far from that. I admit I have had a few days where I felt GOOD. but most of the time I was on the stuff previous to this, I was sick, like coughing up my guts inbetween sets and barely breathing through reps. I felt sick, fatigued, and flat out weak for those couple weeks. and I dropped frm 188 down to 179. and my strength went up in all my lifts... which I did not expect and honestly still baffles me.

I'm not trying to be critical at all, you're obviously doing a lot right, so it's finding what works best for you.

Half your calories from liquid is not ideal. Most protein and calories should come from whole food, not milk and shakes. Eggs (with yolk), oats, and chicken are staples for putting on weight, several times a day. Cook it, pack it in gladlock, and eat it. Adding oats is an easy way to add size IMO, and grinding them up makes it convenient too. It's consistency with your exercise and diet that build muscle. Missing meals or having an "off" day where you're hypocaloric adds up. Not that you can't cheat once in a while, but if you're not spot on with diet, then gains don't follow.

Perhaps I'm too judgmental on supplements, but honestly I have not seen any significant difference between when I use a T-booster and when I just really push myself. Other people swear by some of them but I see their pics and doesn't look like much happened. If you're just "feeling" it, what impact is it having on the bottom line (i.e., size/strength) and how maintainable is it? I'll admit I have used many, but I'm sick of not seeing results with them and just spending money.

I'd try some new exercise routines like 5/3/1, 5x5, or DC. Those three put on lots of mass and improve strength greatly. By switching up the workouts to a heavy compound approach, and increasing whole food calories, you'll put on mass. I'd estimate you could put on a solid 5lbs by Christmas going that route, maybe more.

How old are you and how long training?

calories are calories, so the fact he uses milk and shakes is not bad
GOMAD is a bulking diet for fast metabolisms based around using milk
Id suggest layne nortons power/hypertrophy split or west side barbell for skinny guys v3 imo

Most supps will not help so i agree yes, i keep it basic myself
Also whole food is good, yet not very likely he will reach his normal cal intake from whole foods....5000 cals is a lot in chicken, eggs, rice, beans, veggies, meat and whatever else

Calories are calories, but they are metabolized differently and not all build muscle the same. I have never read about ANY bodybuilder or other strength athlete that relies on milk or shakes for a large portion of their diets or protein. Although a lot eat a dozen or more eggs, plus copious amounts of chicken.

Yes, eating enough calories with whole foods is tough, probably hardest part of body building. But that is what gets results, not shakes or GOMAD. Ask the big dudes how they do it (steroids help but you need a good diet even then to make/maintain gains).

well of course, im just saying that he can still utilize what he has
its not evil to employ some liquid foods
he will need to focus more on whole foods tho no doubt

I know your not being critical, and I appreciate your help!

I really wish I could get more whole food during my day, because I could If I were able to eat several small meals throughout the day, but school is gay if you can remember those days. I get to eat once, at lunch, and its not the stuff I would normally choose to eat, but I do my best. 16 YO and training hard for about 14 months. I liftted off and on before that but didnt really reach a physically mature level to benefit until around this summer, when I really took off. My diet is consistant, and I dont really eat bad ever, I always refuse desert (unless im with the gf, shes a killer :P) I do in fact add oats to alot of drinks I make now, which is just started this week, its funny you mention that. I am going to switch from drinking as much milk to halfing that and going to 8 glasses of water instead a day, once I go on my cut. I am doing as good as I can for my diet considerin circumstances, were not even allowed to have drinks with us in class, or take food out of the cafeteria. Its really BS.

I guess it could all depends on the person too, and how the respond to the T booster. I guess I will just how to see how my run of this goes and then decide for myself based on results.

I do vary my exercises, and about every 6 weeks try to implement some new exercises and drop some old ones, but I usually keep my favorites around, I think everyone is guilty of this. I also switch up from high weight low reps to medium. I used to do alot of 7 rep stuff, but now I through in alot of super sets, and I hit alot of 5-3-1 epecially on some back workouts. I like to go for my max reps of the 4 heaviest sets I can up and down, kinda like a ladder. I get alot of variety in my workout, and I definitely push myself and am not afraid of pain, considering Ive already had a few injuries and I get told by the resident body builder to "stop over training" on some days when I just feel crazy, which I admit he is right, if anything I train too much. I agree that shakes arent as good as whole foods but they arent bad, and as far as getting more food in me its the way its gota be.

First off, you're doing really well if you're 184lbs at 16yo and 5'9". When I was 16, I was maybe 140 soaking wet!

T Booster at 16 is pointless. Do yourself a favor, and save the money in the future. Wait until you're around 30, then they actually make a difference when T levels are down. Right now you have all the T you'll need, if you think you're deficient, see your doctor and get bloodwork.

Try DC training, not just switching what lifts you use. You MUST increase weight/rep week over week or you have to get rid of that lift, even if it's your favorite. More methodical than just switching lifts, and it works.

And don't worry about enjoying desert with the gf, I hadn't eaten anything fried for years until I met my wife and first thing she wanted was McDonald's fries! Enjoy yourself, you're only young once!

What is your breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks and timing? Lay out a typical day and we'll see what we can do with the time you've got!

haha, alright, im mostly using the Ghen and Igh1 for sleep and recovery and stuff, which it is helping with :) but good advice. I was thinking the full natty stack next, whats your take on that? thanks for the rest^ I have been increasing weight, if I plateu on something I mix something up or use a new exercise. If you could like me to a detailed plan for DC training that would be helpful because Im not familiar... thanks, I was actually 186 today, thank goodness im not sick anymore.

Meals- breakfast at around 715- peanut butter waffles or whole wheat bagels, oatmeal, or some type of cerel that has whole grains like quaker or mini wheats, with milk, a glass of milk, and creatine plus multi v and animal flex. usually I have like banan and orange or an apple with peanut butter or pineapple or some type of fruit. breakfast is usually pretty small I guess.

I sometimes try to bring a snack that is a quaker bar that was the healthiest one I could find at the stores for reasonable price, I dont have alot of money at 16 :( but i usually dont get this meal.

1115 lunch - usually two slices of pizza a chicken sandwhich, usually no bun, three milks or two milks and one water bottle, and a vege and fruit, sometimes extra if I like what were havin.

400- meal of whatever I can cook up, usually good complex carbs, sometimes just hit up my gainer shake if short on time. sometimes this meal is skipped if I go to gym right away.

Intra workout I have been making this hybrid drink of mine but it has around 35 grams of oats in it.... haha its crazy but I like it.

after workout, shake 30 mines after, then another 30 I take a meal. then another meal before bed unless I go to sleep early, because I cant take Ghen near carbs or prteins.

so afternoons are either meals @

400, 8, 1030

or

6, 8, 10 (10 is smaller ish)

my pwo meal contains shake and then meal 30 mins later so like at 6 I would have those two meals around that time.

Its not ideal but I try to work with what I got. my gym time depends on school work and work I have to do around the house, plus when my partner goes in. Hes a marine, so I have to show him how to lift :P no literally, I do.

your in public school right?
when i was 17-18 i was eating 4000cals a day all whole food, i didnt even own protein powder at the time, and i ate 8 full meals per day....so prepare some food, get a job to buy food if needed (i did i worked at mc ds) and get a schedule worked out, 5min between classes is enough time to stuff you face with something

Im 16. driving? anyways, we have 3 mins between classes... but I dont go to my locker between any classes because I dont have time to walk there and to class. And we arent allowed to carry food or even consume food outside of the cafeteria. yes school is gay, and has gone way downhill since your day Im sure. like I said I still get plenty of food its just not exactly how I want it. how on earth did you eat 8 full meals a day... like by full you mean complex carbs proteins good fats fruits or vege? lol.plus that means you at every two hours? and if you count workout spacing that means you slept 6 hours a night? thats bad sleep :P lol anyways. I wish I could do what you suggest but its just not possible.

your not aloud a water bottle or anything?
i graduated high school 2 years ago not that long
yes i ate 8 full meals, not all included fruit/veg, just because i choose for them not too
i usually would eat if you must know like this:
7:30 a.m.
9:30 a.m.
11:30 a.m.
1:30 p.m.
4:00 p.m.
workout 5:30-7:00
post-wo shake-7:00 (i count as a meal because of protein/carbs)
8:00 p.m.
10:00 p.m.
then right to bed

Try to bring your own lunch, clean up breakfast, always eat before the gym...thats three, post-wo shake, post-wo meal, and before bed meal....thats another 3...equals 6
then add in ModernBCAA if you can have water almost looks like it, clear to extend anabolism between breakfast-lunch-pre-wo meal

I could try and work in something that I could miss in water like modern BCAA, but no, were not allowed to have water bottles. though I grant you we were two years ago but they come up with all kinds of stupid things now a day. I do usually get the 6-7 meals you outlined, so Im not coming up too short.

Ill look into the Mod. BCAA next time I get some money

More eggs, I didn't see any eggs in there. Eggs for breakfast and before bed, 4 each serving at least. Hard boil some and eat during snacks.

You can also make cheap and easy protein bars with peanut butter, egg whites, oats, milk and protein. Use google for easy protein bar recipes. They travel easy in baggies, easy to conceal.

Meal before workout, even if it's just a cup of ground oats and 10-20g protein. Better if it's whole food like a bagel with peanut butter and banana.

BCAA aren't necessary if you're tight on cash. Spend the money on eggs, chicken and oats from Costco or Sams, get in bulk.

If you just start adding a bit here and there of good, whole food proteins I think you'll do well. Keep pushing it in the gym, get good rest, and save your money for food and your gf! When you're in your 20's, then you can look at other supps...

milas take a read of layne nortons presentation on meal frequency...its a nice read and eye opener into the eating all day method

Thanks guys. actually just picked up a big tub of oats today and some chicken and alot of other good stuff. Im gona take a look into those protein bar recipes if I can figure them out lol. and yea, acually I do keep hardboiled eggs in my fridge and throw them in but I didnt mention that sorry. I eat eggs when I can but usually im cooking for myself and I suck at eggs for some reason lol.

Informative thread for those who want to pack on mass,... good job folks!!
