X-Gels were helpful in gaining strength and size. Of course, as everyone else has alluded to, food. The first year I took training seriously I put on 25 lbs and my supps at the time basically consisted of protein, vitamins, and some kind of random pre. I didn't even use a pre for like the first 3 or 4 months. Started with a big Monster and my caffeine addiction progressed from there...haha
