Hey guys,

I am really wanting to know what exactly makes neck hair grow in men and why some men have it and others don't.

Which Hormones, Enzymes, Genes? What's happening under the hood..

Thanks!

hahaha its a legitimate question some dudes have hair on their face only some have it on their neck as well and others have f all facial hair haha

if you were born indian you wouldnt ask any hair questions

I don't know what causes it but I got plenty !

I'm thinking this is something nobody has even thought about. I guess people can post if they are a necky or a becky haha.
haha im necky

im a hairy beast all over .. more of a gene and nationality

Id guess that its the same reason some men have good beards, some go bald etc, which is whether or not the hair follicles in that area have the androgen receptors for dht to come along and do it's thing.

Probably for that extra thermal regulation. On a related note, facial hair (beards, moustaches)serves no evolutionary purpose.

It's gonna come down to your DNA/RNA.. and this coronavirus vaccine is an mRNA vaccine id stay the hell away from!

Some women have a Lot of neck hair.
... Usually you won't see it, because normally, they keep it covered with their hair.
(Serious)

That neck hair in chicks means extra T

I'm not sure that's true...
It seems that more dark haired women have neck hair than lighter haired women. (That type of thing is common among men, too).

I'm not satisfied that people with dark hair have higher T levels.

That explains it now that my dark hair is turning grey my T levels are falling !!

Actually, I've read that it serves a visual function - facial hair provided a visual cue of another person's gender from a distance - a useful feature when defending territory or seeking a mate. Big boobs also help with this.

I will go along with this !!

Fair-haired women have neck hair too. It's just lighter and usually finer, so it's not as obvious.
