What kind of car does everyone drive?

and heres one of my Elemental designs 15a, ain't it a beauty? 147.3 db not too shabby for a daily driver. Too cold to go out and take pics of my amps, but i have an avionixx 1200.2 and a 400.2 (1400 watts RMS for the sub, and 140 x 2 RMS for my front stage.

hey bean, good to see a serious car peformance enthusiast on here. Clint is in the process of his getting his car up and running again now that its not 100 degrees outside and we are going to make some dyno pulls. We are hoping for 900+ rwhp on a high boost pull ( 2.2 bar).

hey man i'm waitin to here how the T76 car runs :)

I drive the biggest piece of **** 1992 Ford Explorer the world has ever seen. The leather interior is great though, and the system pounds. (2 alumapro 12s, Zapco Z50C2's and a PG MPS2200. Alpine 7807 cd player - Ive had this deck for 11 years and it still keeps playing!)

Friggin' truck must cost me near $1000 just in maitenence costs. Tranny, clutch twice, gas tank, starter, exhaust twice, steering gear, power steering pump and lines, I could fill up this page with repairs.

I like driving it but I HATE IT WITH EVERY OUNCE OF HATRED I CAN MUSTER. Im getting something new in March.

Woah! I dont know how that happened! Sorry about that. It does convey my displeasure with the vehicle, however:)

2.2 bar? 900+ rwhp? What is that, a T-91 on an SRT-10?
Yeesh.
All I got's a li'l 93 RX-7 that's broken so often you'd think I ran 2.2 bar.

My 93 rx7

I don't post much on this forum but I love cars. I have a 93 rx7 too except mine is getting a "transplant". Check out the progress at Invalid Link Removed
I just finished tearing down the block and had the cam bearings installed and the crank balanced. I hope to have the engine in and wired before the end of the year. Now you no the secret to my user name. I blew the rotary in it a couple of years ago and it has been collecting dust ever since. I had it modded out with the standard stuff (ACT clutch, EFI computer running 14psi on the stock sequentials, no cats, downpipe, blah, blah). I know what you mean about it breaking down all the time. Soooo many hoses and the sequential turbo setup is a nightmare. Time for good ole American V8 power now. I have everything I need for the motor buildup (230/224 111 lsa cam, moly pushrods, double roller timing chain, and more) minus ported heads. I've been waiting for a good discount or group buy to come along for some stage II's. Stay tuned.....

I don't remember the 60 time.  That was a while ago.  Back in the late 90s.  I miss that car.  383 stroker built with the very best of everything.  373s in the rear, and a 100hp Nitrous kit.  I should have put slicks on it but I never got around to getting 15" rims for them.  Besides it had t-tops, no cage or sub frame connectors.  I probably would have twisted it like a pretzel. :D

I'm new here, decided to make my first post in the cars section.....lol

Here is my baby at NOPI Nationals......

nah its a SC300 with a SupraTT motor transplant... T76 turbo and other goodies not to be named hehe

mine is also a SC300, but i strapped on a turbo on the stock motor... so i'm running the same motor with a diff head, higher compression, etc...

i need new rims and tires and suspension badly...

i love RX-7s except for the part that they are always broken...

if i ever owned an FD i'd throw a LT1 in it and build it up or a 3 rotor if i could afford it

1989 Camaro RS with a new tranny and a ls1 engine swap I got put in it, with two thousand watt 12's running in the hatch with two 1000 watt amps for each and I have a huge power capacitor for them. With a midnight blue color and a custum exhaust job me and my friends put on.

Wear a beater take the t-tops down and goto the club banging some beat ;) OH YEAHH!

Do you happen to live in North Carolina? My boss had a Lightning almost exactly like that that he sold over a year ago.

My car . . .

It's an import, but i don't think it's riced out

1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T. Mitsu 16G turbo, Stillen front fascia, Stillen intercooler, Stillen short throw shifter, Stillen strut tower brace, Stillen sway bars (with urethane bushings), Apex'i AVC-Type R boost controller, Stillen white-face indiglo gauges, Greddy white-face Turbo and Exhaust Gas Temp. gauges (mounted in a Greddy dual pod), Stillen decals on both doors, 2 Kicker Comp VR 15" subwoofers, some Power Acoustik amp that puts out about 800W RMS (I know there's plenty better amps, but it puts out clean power and I was on a budget!), 20% tint on windows, Stillen 3" downpipe, Stillen cold air intake, Custom 3" straight-pipe exhaust, and a HKS Super Sequential blow off valve.

Edit - forgot the blowoff valve! DOH! :D

fender you got another block ready for when yours goes? i know 3 people in the area that had modded 2nd gens and had the crank walk on them... we're talking basic stuff too; small upgrade turbo like a 16g and other boltons... one was a TSI AWD the other was a GST like yours, same year too

Mustangs dont exactly fit my taste but I'd watch what I say about ALL of them. Some (v8's) are quite powerful. The newest Cobras are real fast.

Just yesterday I bought an '04 VW GTI 1.8T. 5 speed, leather interior, Monsoon sound system. Definitely adding mods ASAP!

Nice choice Super. I see the 04 Jetta GLIs are coming in with the 1.8T this year. I have an 02 GLI fully loaded right now and like the looks of the 04 but I'm not sure if I'm willing to give up the low end torque. Just in case I'm looking at the Audi A4 3.0.

Well the first thing I'm doing is a chip upgrade, adds 40-43 horsepower and ups boost to 15-16 psi, for $350 at Neuspeed's site, but I think I saw if for like $280 elsewhere. Invalid Link Removed
You could get the same one on the new Jetta, plus gas mileage would still be better than the VR6. Also a performance intake manifold adds 12HP and 14lb/ft of torque for $599(gotta get the polished!). Invalid Link Removed (just scroll down)
I should have both of those installed within a month (waiting for tax return), then I'll add a cat-back, and some other goodies down the road.
I don't think I could find it in me to not buy an Audi though, if I could afford one that is! Audi's are fucking SWEEEEEET!!!

I don't spend a lot of time looking at mods for cars these days. I went through that era when I was younger when 600hp V8s were what everyone wanted but I did spend some time a few months ago looking at a few options. Have you heard of a company called Shine racing? Supposedly they make the best suspension for the VWs and they also make a great chip. I know they have a pretty good deal if you get both the chip and suspension installed at the same time. Something to think about. I don't know where you are located but they are in Massachusetts.

You may want to further research this...Chips "trick" you engines computer into thinking the air coming in is cooler than it is. If you want to run higher boost, buy a manual boost controller and a boost gauge. Chips will kill your car.
