Hahahahahahahaha "the hood"... In Erie... Son. Really???

With over 100,000 people, just flip on the news to see someone arrested, stabbed, or shot downtown everyday. Since you venture to Erie so much I am sure you know all about it :)
Almost any city you visit will have sketchy area's you try to avoid. If I do not have to go downtown I don't especially on weekend nights.

Dude I drive through erie every weekend growing up on my way to Chautauqua. I know it just fine. It's about as "hood" as mr. Rodgers neighborhood... Don't kid yourself. Go to a real city and experience true "hood". You guys (and Pitt Por that matter) have what I call "moms basement gangsters".

Key word Growing up. when was the last time you were in Erie? Times change, look at the crime rate in the US over the last 3-5 years. It has increased incredibly across the US. any bigger city in a state will have a "Sketchy" area you want to avoid where crime is held.

I have been to Miami, DC, Atlanta, Boston, Vegas, Detroit etc. I got to experience some bigger city "hoods". Again you assume you know my traveling history better than myself.

My Dad and I were told to not even enter a HS basketball game (from the security guard) when we were in Miami because we would be the only two white people in there. Just wanted to watch a good basketball game that features two top HS basketball teams. haha

This spring... April iirc.

Never said anything about knowing your travel, but comparing Erie to a major city is a joke. Erie is smaller than many suburbs. Just because it's the biggest city in the area doesn't make it a "big city". It's a big fish in a VERY small pond.

Now this is a real city and real experience. Get this a lot in Erie? Dont think so.

The point is that there are still sketchy area's to avoid in all bigger cities. Downtown in Erie being one of them. "The Hood" being slang for a sketchy area.
Do i want to get shot or stabbed on a weekend? No, would you? Probably not. I rather avoid those consequences if possible. Unless you like to enjoy playing Russian roulette with the police and crime. Me not so much.

Not saying Erie isn't bad. But it would never stop me from walking through downtown at midnight on a weekend. Now go to Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Miami etc. Now those are "real places"

Been to all of them brother.
Downtown Manhattan (when i did a demo for Scivation) and was walking the streets at 1AM, Brooklyn, Queens (Never again), Miami ( go almost every other year we have relatives there), Philly multiple times, and Baltimore right outside DC). Know them feels brother. Wake up to hearing about Babies being shot by stray bullets every morning in baltimore was quite interesting.

Actually ran into Allen Iverson on 4th and Lincoln @ South Beach (outside Mansion Club)
Marshall Faulk at a golf shop
my dad played 9 holes with Dan Marino @ Adios golf club

Going to philly in a few weeks actually, if not traveling to WV

Got these today let's see how they are
The Solution and others may tell you Buckeye Blitz is the best Graeters flavour but I disagree. Bourbon Pecan CC is GOAT - Lots of nuts and those massive chocolate chunks hnnnngggg

I have never seen Adirondach anywhere - interested in how that is especially since I love PP

Buckeye Blitz is bomb if you love chocolate and peanut butter + Cookie dough
CNC if you want full cookies (oreo's) Crushed into the great vanilla base.
Black Raspberry as GNO knows is simple and damn good.

You need those 3 flavors next go

Speaking of @BBarstche, hit up a new donut place (had to drive 20 minutes to go there) called Jack Frost Donuts. Never even knew this place existed on the east side of town. Hope they are decent.

You could consider making an online order from the Graeter's website to try Buckeye. It is more expensive than stores but not many carry it and it's a must try. You can justify it by getting a seasonal flavour (Bluberry Pie and/or pumpkin) which I don't think is in stores.

Thats what I might have to do, unless I go to a shop. I have to see how I do in fantasy football this year. Big money on the line. Gonna get me a puppy and ice cream

Graeters should only be like 10$ shipping too
For ice cream that is a steal, and 10$ a pint. which is very cost effective.

I would wait till they get something seasonal like Cheese Crown, Cincy Pig Track or something unique. Their pumpkin is BLEH

That's not bad at all will check in a few weeks to see what they have. But if I do go to Ohio will stop for sure

They still have Elena's Blueberry Pie

Not as good as pig tracks or crown

Never tried Elena's but I definitely imagine Pig Tracks edging it out, really enjoyed that one.

I did try a similar ice cream in Buffalo with mkretz.
From Lake a Effect FB:
The base of this flavor is our new blueberry ice cream, made by mixing Murphy Orchards homemade blueberry jam with fresh cream. We then blended in sweet and crunchy pie crust pieces all throughout the ice cream making it a very unique take on blueberry pie.

The blueberry is solid don't get me wrong
You know how good the black raspberry is and
How dense the fruit is. Blueberry is leaps above gelato fiasco and Jenis blueberry base

I have the GF blueberry in my freezer from a trip to MI over a month ago, should get to that soon lol.

I do see your point on why it may be better to wait for more limited flavours before placing an online order.

Yup
you posted about it in the Ice cream thread

wasn't suer if there was another flavor i hadn't seen (or a different gf acronym as theres a few co's with those letters as GNO and I have discovered ha). Ya, you got a bunk on for sure... The one I have is like 4 blueberries and a ton of crumble in every bite... theres literally almost zero white in it

Only my luck :(

It's cheap fast food for cheap fast food prices...

That is usually why i spend a few extra $$$ to cook something myself (and not track it) or go to a restaurant that is not fast food
Can't justify a cheat meal on Grade D food or stuff that is reheated like McDonalds or Burger King.

My cravings are pretty varied so I mix and match. Cheat meals range from Cafe Boulud to Rasika to ... well cheap fast food.

I'm still mourning the loss of City Zen and its vegetarian tasting menu. Yea. That's right.

Never been to a Chick-Fil-A, don't have any intention too either. people rave over it, just can't justify the price for quality.

Chick fila have amazing quality chicken to be honest…one of the only fast food places I would actually eat

^^^

Thats what i hear from most people. But then again i really do not eat McDonalds (have once in my life never went back), Burger King, or other small chains like that.
Don't usually eat fast food but had wendys chili. For the first time this year, not the best, but not the worst.

Thinking to try this place next cheat this weekend. New location opened 5 mins away recently.

I was thinking of getting the Nacho Libre.

Double Crunch BUffalo Blues sounds HNNGGG

Oreo + PB Shake
Reviews says place is super busy so might just get it to go... I have to eat the pints in my freezer so not getting dessert from them.

Or should I get "Getting Piggy With it":Grilled back bacon topped with cheddar & piled high with bacon, bacon ketchup and crunchy onion string?
