What is your favorite cheat meal?

The sea salt caramel blizzard looks good. Brings me back to few months back itt lol.

no they did not piss me off
your just buying low quality stuff
Vanilla Soft serve is bottom of the barrel, if you want mediocre ice cream you can keep going to DQ, just saying you can buy much better stuff for the same price else where.

Haha sorry Bob, I had too. You gave me a hard time when I asked about RVC Blizzard.

The Sea Salt Caramel's have a nice chocolate shell and are filled with a liquid caramel that melt in your mouth. The Toffee pieces were buttery, thick, and crunchy that provided a great crispy texture to the blizzard. Pair that with chocolate fudge chunks and it was like a diced up brownie mixed into the vanilla soft serve. A Very unique combination dairy queen put together to make one of their best blizzards in my opinion. While I do not think this tops the density and flavor the S'mores blizzard packed, it sure gave it a run for its money. While this is still limited I would suggest picking it up.

Your referring a cheat as 800+ kcals, for some maybe, for some maybe a lot more.

Your=you're*

Figured you'd quote that. I was giving an example of the amount of calories a cheat COULD be worth.

So, over in excess the entire week + cheat.

Simple question. Do you control your cheat being that your already in a surplus to keep FAT gain to a minimum

^^ that's the only question.

Not - do you collect a check for this it how many calories is in your cheat

This was free, so i did not pass it up. I am a mix-in junkie and good lord this was loaded
literally 20+ truffles, literally half of a heath bar(felt like with the amount of toffee) and the base was not even vanilla. Due to all the chocolate mix-ins it felt like a frosty from wendy's.

now if we are to compare say a soft serve base from DQ to a jeni's base, then we are talking night and day. Lettuce be real Jeni's Base ice cream an ingredients are light years ahead of a basic soft serve.

Nice that sounds delicious.

Only thing I have had in months is Red Mango a frozen yogurt chain. Plus I went easy on the mix ins.

This Saturday I'm planning on getting some Blue Moon with the kids though.

^^^ The price to ship to Australia = Killer man... Ugh i sent samples one time out of my own pocket and it was 20$ for a small padded envelope

dam i posted a box of tim tams and pre workout + samples and a shirt to josh (vogelitis) cost like 56$ which i think in US is 43$

Only thing we have to be jelly about are US rediculous ice creams and donut range.
Meanwhile we've got tim tams, chocolate and cereal for days.

Debating for this weeks cheat meal getting the 2lb king kong burger... Its literally a straight 2lbs of hamburger, cheese, and a bun. Get it with some fries and a pint... Not sure if that would just destroy my dieting effort for the week though!

Get it with a Diet Coke and you'll be fine ;)

I like the way you think... lol. Ive been doing chinese takeout the last 2 weeks and man its so bomb. I also have a pint. Im sure its like 6k calories because my appetite is absolutely insane. Ive been plateaud for like 4 weeks (only added in the cheat meal 2 weeks ago. Before that it was all strict and clean) and Ive actually gained 5 lbs total (Eating 2500 cals which is DEFINITELY a deficit for me). So Im debating if having a very large cheat is a bad idea or not. At the same time, I used to be a fat kid and man food is my thing. lol. Too many decisions...

if you have plateaued 4 weeks in a row
and you added in calories (Cheat meal) 2 weeks ago
that is a red flag that you have made no progress, so adding a cheat meal is just making it harder to lose with an excess amount of kcals

Think about that

That shows 1 --> your caloric deficit without the cheat was not large enough
and 2 --> your cheats are too much and it is not helping weightloss/fatloss.

cheat meals are not really ideal if your cutting, just do a refeed which fats are kept low and carbs are up around roughly the same as they were in your surplus. bob's right, to 2500 is most likely not a large enough deficit for you to see much fat loss at a decent rate, drop to 2200-2300 and go along from there cut out the overfeeding, and track your macros to ensure your on the dot, and can eat whatever you want in moderation while doing so, which should help make it easier.

Epic birthday cheat meal last night. Jaeger schnitzel with spaetzle, red cabbage, 2 huge rolls, German potato pancakes with applesauce, piece of a pretzel, 1 liter of Hefeweizen beer, apple crumble cake with a scoop of ice cream. Wish I had pics

Cheats have their benefits it just depends on the person. Some people are great with cheats on a cut and respond very well. Its too personal.

one of my buddies was having 3 cheat meals a week leading into his peak week and ended up winning the overall in his show.
A lot of factors into cheat, how much the cheat is (caloric wise) now a burger challenge + ice cream is a bit excessive do not get me wrong. you could be factoring upward to 3000-4000 kcals if not more

But a simple take out Chinese meal uncounted is not a real harm when in moderation. Or a meal out at like longhorn steakhouse, or an olive garden to replace one meal in the week. Burger + Fry + small dessert etc. Something to help keep the individual sane while still progressing with their fatloss phase. Granted the longer you diet the greater cheats can be because of how the body can utilize more calories and why competitors closer to a show who do refeeds or cheats may be able to make them larger and get leaner.

we are human, we dont collect paychecks, so some moderation once a week or one meal out of the 30-50 meals you eat surly wont kill anyone or their progress assuming their deficit, cardio, and training are in check.

my 2 cents.

Thanks guys. I feel like Im looking leaner and I'm just holding water (vascularity is the best it's ever been by far). The scale just hasn't moved. Been between 209-211 the whole time. Just dropped to 2500 this last week so I'm going to see where that takes me. Keep in mind, I'm only 18 so I've got the extra expenditure from growing and whatnot as well. And I'm insanely active (stupid high volume workouts, work outside quite a bit, I also work at a sandwich shop running around there 4-5 nights a week) so I definitely power through calories! I'll dial back my cheat meal a bit this week (probably Chinese again, just drop my portion). Will report how it works out at the end of next week!

you left out you need to buy a dozen to get a free dozen and you only get free glazed. Meh.
I'd get the s'mores only.

I went off your reference above (in bold) on the caloric amount, for some maybe a lot more for a cheat.

I had one tonight. Definitely one of my favorite blizzards. I agree with Bob, Smores is still a little better.

They now also have Brownie Cookie Dough, and Peanut Butter Cookie Dough. Those may be old, but they are new to my area.

This week was a bacon cheeseburger from 5 guys, a regular fry, a small plate of cheesy scaloped potatoes my dad made, and a pint of b&j's half baked. Solid meal. PB half baked=on point.

I really need to find these. I absolutely love Key Lime Pie!

Even after all the food I just ate (also had a couple pieces of fried chicken), I might just go try to find that.... Ill hit some extra cardio. That totally makes it okay... lol

lol Im always all for free things! Im still hungry though and thats never a good thing for me when there is a load of unhealthy food in my house right now.... Ah self control...

You should see my house it's probably just as bad

Not to mention when you can cook anything you want the possibilities are endless

I'll have to show you my most epic sandwich I made at 5 guys later

Definitely want to see that! Im thinking after all the food I had (probably 3500-4000 cals), Im going to just bake myself a protein treat and not care about calories for it to make myself feel like Im still cheating but still hit my protein goals for the day. Just havent decided what yet... And today was a stupid high volume leg day so Im not too worried. Also the scale showed a weight drop after dropping to 2500 cals this week so it looks like Im in the clear atleast as far as results not coming! Overall fantastic day. lol

can't finish pancakes...
don't even know if that is possible.

After sitting back for a minute I got them. I've been pounding water (bout a gallon in an hour 30) so that didn't help my case once I started eating. Lol. I can definitely say they were my best batch of pancakes to this day though!

I always have bacon with whatever cheat meal I'm eating. Had some tonight and will be veiny tomorrow morning in the gym.

Even though Jeni's is not known for mix-ins this pint is one that separates itself from the pack. Hands down a top 5 flavor next to Brown Butter Almond Brittle, Brambleberry, The Buckeye State, and Buttercup Pumpkin with Amaretti Cookies. The superior milk chocolate base complimented with smoked almonds, coconut, and graham crackers makes a delicious combination. Soon after your first bite of the base alone it leaves you lingering for another. A must try from Jeni's and a superior flavor that is one of their best.

Mad Jelly ... 7 layer bar & brown butter almond brittle are probably the best ice creams I've ever had.
