What is your favorite cheat meal?

Snapped when I got home from work last night, had such a sweet tooth. Made French toast PB & j with chocolate chips and honey drizzled on top. Oh the shame that I felt after demolishing 2 of them.

Dude that's sounds unbelievably good and exactly like something I'd make. French toast is one of my go-to cheats

Made a big batch of these (Zhangalovhats') this morning. Takes sometime to Make but it's delicious and healthy.

^^ that and I heard someone say sweet potato was their cheat. How can that be? I thought that's eating clean .

I had 3 baked sweet potatoes on top of three servings of sweet potato casserole, with Mexican rice. In one sitting. That was part of my cheat meal today. Feelsbloatedman.

Ice cream is my carb up for today, been waiting 2 weeks for it which makes it all that much sweeter. Is it negating the point if I take a SSv2 before it do you think? Getting close to my goal and don't want to be taking steps backwards

I think all sandwiches should be made out of french toast, ala Monte Cristo

I haven't had a monte Cristo in s while they are the queen of sandwiches in my book, Reuben is the king.

double posted. Holiday for me today and the nicest weather we have had yet, I will be out back getting some sun and firing up the BBQ for lunch and dinner. Time for a trip to the butchers, thick cut T-bone for dinner, what should I have for lunch

OK, need some help here. I just slow cooked a pork shoulder in the crock pot. I shredded it this AM but I need something to do with it besides douse it in sugar (aka BBQ sauce). I love BBQ sauce but trying to keep this one low carbs. Any idears?

Sauté up some red & green bell pepper and some onion then put it all together with some cumin, coriander, maybe a little cinnamon.

Vinegar Sauce (Carolina BBQ sauce)
1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
3/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Worchestershire sauce
4 teaspoons (packed) dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard

A lot less sugar then in your rego bbq sauce plus I was reading the other day that vinegar helps to balance insulin spikes.

Aaaaahhhhh fuuuucc that all sounds so damn good... I'm salivating, no joke. It's impossible to find any of this in Russia unless you cook it yourself. Even then it doesn't taste the same as in America. God bless America land of the free and home of the best pulled pork, fries, ribs, and especially baked beans!

You just inspired tomorrow's post-workout meal for me. Your recipes are one of my top reasons for loving that I'm part of this forum :P I'm a sucker for cheesecake

Lol I mean in place if my post workout shake immediately after, I have another meal after

Once a week while I was further from my goal, within the final 4 weeks only when I feel completely drained, once biweekly before leg day maybe

Pointless. MPS is most effective every 4-6 hours with meals spaced apart as dictated by layne norton's research. Eating too often is not beneficial for Muscle Protein Synthesis (MPS). Eating every 3 hours is less optimal because protein levels never reach their refractory stages before being spiked again. Your living in the 80's and the broscience.

How often do you all have cheats days while cutting?

Depends on if your cutting for a show/photoshoot, if you are i would suggest refeeds because cheat meals would be less beneficial and take you further away due to the amount of kcals ingested. yes they have their benefits (t3, leptin, hormone levels) but can be unbeneficial depdning on the person and their bodytype.

1x a week is fine.

I'm just cutting to be cutting. I'm just an average teen getting off my bulk fat. I usually fast up until the cheat. Intermittent fasting is the best IMO.

I hope you dont have your cheat as your only meal on a cheat meal. that would be pointless. i would still have 3 meals in your IF window and make sure your getting some adequate micronutrients and calories in your other meals. Its just 1 meal that you use to replace one during the week. Some people take it to the extreme which shows an unhealthy balance in their food selection/choices and overall emotions of eating (not to mention eating behavior)

I honestly eat a lot of food in one sitting. Both my regular and then the cheat.

you only have 1 meal a day?
Not real optimal for protein synthesis regardless of goal...
Even martin who created IF suggests 3 meals a day, plus all research done on Muscle Protein Synthesis shows that 3-4 meals a day would be more optimal (backed by Lyle and Alan as well)

Sure we can all eat a ton . Lets go to golden corral and eat 10 plates, but is it really "Optimal"

Golden Corral is the ultimate cheat day/meal! I'm bulking right now and went there last Wednesday. Needed to use the bathroom right after though, says something about the food quality.

I like to eat when I'm hungry. Lol that's about all the though I put into timing other than post WO shake and breakfast. I used to obsess over meal timing but I've honestly noticed no difference at all between 4 meals a day and 7 other than feeling more satiated on 4 bigger meals

Plus, it's more fun to eat big!
