What is your favorite cheat meal?

This is why i eat one maybe once a month. I have about 10 sitting to the side of me, and some of their PB Cups too, and a whole box of detour bars i will probably never eat.

I'm one of the people that could drink a gallon of maltitol and wouldn't feel a thing

uest bars are great for me , no issues at all, even with beans, oats, veggies, lots of fiber.........

More fiber is not better, many people do not realize that. Getting over aroudn 40-50g does not provide anymore benefits, its actually worse for your body and GI Tract.

This is true. After a few months eating around 120g of fiber daily I had such severe abdominal pain I thought I had a tumor pressing on the inside of my rib cage. I stopped eating barley with every meal and it went away in a week after a pretty intense evacuation. It sucked balls

Glad I have been reading this thread since I thought of starting to get on the fiber train recently.

120 g !?! We're you eating cardboard boxes ? I can't fathom getting in that much fiber I'm getting 30 to 35 a day and that's more then enough for me.

My chefs wife brought these into work yesterday. Ingredients are just water and black beans. For 2 oz you get just 180 cals, 17g carbs, 12g fiber, and 25g protein. He cooked some up and they weren't half bad to kind of like buckwheat noodles.

Cramping

Cramping occurs because the body cannot properly break down fiber. If too much fiber is consumed, food digestion can be momentarily slowed or even stopped. This can lead to intestinal cramping and discomfort.

Diarrhea

If you increase your fiber intake too suddenly, then your body will not have enough time to adjust. One of the biggest benefits of fiber is that it increases the speed in which food moves throughout the digestive tract. By consuming too much fiber, you may increase this speed too much, which can lead to diarrhea.

Malabsorption

According to Colorado State University, because fiber binders to other foods, fiber could bind to nutrients and eliminate these minerals and vitamins without the body being able to absorb them. By eating too much fiber, you may interfere with how your intestines absorb certain minerals. Often, too much fiber can lead to the malabsorption of calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc. Despite this side effect, this malabsorption is typically so minimal that it does not cause for much concern.

Constipation

If you eat too much fiber without enough water, then you may become constipated. The body’s digestive tract requires fluids to help move things along. If you do not have enough fluids in your system, then your intestines will not be able to work properly and you may become constipated.

Intestinal Gas

By eating too much fiber in a short amount of time, you may experience flatulence, bloating and intestinal gas. This occurs as a reaction the natural bacteria in your digestive tract has to the fiber. To avoid this side effect, simply gradually increase your fiber intake so the natural bacteria can adjust to the fiber.

Intestinal Blockage

An intestinal blockage would be the worst side effect you could get from consuming too much fiber. This occurs when an individual eats too much fiber and does not consume enough water. Fiber can cause a blockage in the intestines, preventing any other foods to get past. Intestinal blockages can be serious health conditions and may require surgery.

To avoid these side effects, simply gradually increase your fiber intake over a few weeks. When increasing your fiber intake, make sure to also increase your fluid intake.

Thanks! Mike said my previous one didn't look pretty enough so I crimped the edges this time. Haha.

It tastes really good. Like a banana pie. The crust holds really well and the inside is moist and sweet from the bananas/cream cheese filling.

So the crust is almond paste? If you wouldn't mind, what's the recipe & macros on it? It looks like it would taste amazing.

You guys post some incredible cheat meals. Making me think the sliders I was going to have this weekend seem soooooo boring.

I wasn't a big fan of the slow churned, to be honest. I'd actually prefer making protein ice cream at home instead of going with that kind

Making a homemade protein ice cream never crossed my mind. Good idea.

I actually have an ice cream maker that I got for Xmas a few years ago stashed away somewhere....

Do it! I usually do 12oz unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 2 scoops whey protein, and some extra splenda. It will taste about as good as the edy's slow churned but will be wayyyyyyyy better for your macros. I do this a few times per week before bed when I need something sweet

Blender work just as well?

Nice thing is I already have some banana whey protein and a big bag of splenda. I'll try to get around to making it sat since it sounds pretty good. Thanks for the idea bro! I'm always craving something sweet though not as bad since I started on the Dexaprine but nothing wrong with being prepared for the sweet cravings.

yeah, just don't add ice to it. blend it up really well and put it in the freezer. you'll have to come back every 1/2 hour or so to scrape the frozen stuff off the sides of the bowl and mix it back up. Will take about 4 hours to get to a semi-stiff consistancy. If you add ice it dilutes the flavor and ends up just getting weird and hard

absolutely, man. I have a bad sweet tooth so I have to come up with all kinds of ways to keep it in check

Flavor Ideas besides chocolate, banana, vanilla, cinnamon?

Add some PB2 to any of those! Also use vanilla and add any Walden farms calorie free syrups: strawberry, blueberry, pancake syrup. Yum!

I eat those everyday I'd rather eat something different for a cheat meal.

well I'm sure you can come up with some imaginative flavor choices

Dont buy crappy ice cream. Edy's is subpar to

Ben n Jerry's
Jenni's
2nd Street
Coldstone

Don't want a pint I want a lot, don't have jenni's or 2nd street and closest cold stone is 45 mins away. So ya...

I agree Ben and Jerry's is good and everything but its just not cutting it I rather eat an entire Reese's bryers ice cream and that's not enough sometimes
