What is the best way to measure a ketosis state?

I know some people said my high school trainer was a moron. He thought ketosis would be measured when core temperature stops dropping for 24 hours. He also believed in keto stix.

Neither of these statements were true.

Can anyone tell me the most accurate way to measure ketosis? Most importantly, what data do we have to know this?

I heard it was the diabetic blood monitors?

Yeah a blood glucose monitor if you want to be sure.
My take: if you are embarking on a keto diet which by design means you should be watching what you eat, as long as you keep your carbs under 50g a day you shouldn’t even need to check. Everyone’s body adapts at whatever rate and knowing if you are in ketosis doesn’t really help if you are eating full keto anyways.

Well, I’ve been using a blood glucose monitor too and yes it does give satisfactory results.
