What does being an average run of the mill bodybuilder get you really?

Can someone explain to me the benefits that a person receives for being an average run of the mill bodybuilder?

Like if a guy wins an IFBB masters class show, even for nationals, what does that get them? It for sure doesn't get them a sponsorship with any major supplement company. It for sure doesn't make them rich, as I think the payout is like 1500 bucks or something and could be less than that. Pretty much all these people are competing for is the enjoyment and love for competitive bodybuilding.

Yes or no?

To be honest not much. Before I got a sponcer i had to pay travel food everything and the money sucks. Lucky enough i do physic which has opened the doors to modeling and things like that. There's no real $ unless your top 3 or have a great sponcer
