I'm definitely a car fan too. I love muscle cars. I drive an 02 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 with lots of goodies. I have a less restrictive intake, big cam, full exhaust (headers, no cats, y-pipe, catback) built tranny cuz I blew mine twice, 4400rpm stall converter, and some other small mods. Besides the tranny and cam, I installed everything else. She puts down almost 400hp to the ground. I just got some 27" slicks and 15" welds for the back and skinnys up front so I can go to the track since I still havn't gone in all this time. In the pic I had them on but I normally just have on the stock 17 inchers. I also just had a stereo installed. I got her new and have owned her for a little over 4 years now. I can't get enough

What do you drive?

-Chris

Nice choice in the G35 I had one awhile back, gorgeous car and sounded like a ferrari, but im a speed freak so i sold it.

King:

My baby is an 03 Mustang Cobra the mod list i can't even remember fully but more or less.

2.4l Kenne Bell blower upgrade
302 Stroker longblock
Ported heads/Stage 3 cams
Full exhaust
Upgraded fuel system
In fender CAI
Upgraded cooling system (intercooler/radiator)
underdrive pullies
Upgraded clutch/flywheel/input shaft
All suspension work done
blah blah blah
basically way too much money invested, but this baby is staying with me for a longgggg time, and it brings a big ass smile to my face everytime i drive it

I've had something retarded like 11 cars over the last 4 years (keeps me sane in my small town where boredom runs rampant), but there is some kind of draw to a muscle car, one you drive one it pretty much has you hooked, looks, sound, power, great package all in all.

yeah I know what you mean. Damn you've done alot to that car. I bet it's fun as hell and fast as a mutha. I'm actually lookin at maybe gettin a gt500 shelby when they come out. **** though, i can't believe you have that much done to your car. I still have a long way to go but it's so expensive! I'm still plannin on stage 3 heads, full suspension, maybe a turbo setup and a cam with a higher lsa cuz i think this cam would suck with a turbo. it lopes hard! But if i were to win the lotto tomorrow i'd get the new LS7 engine and put it in there. 427 cubes, 505hp, CNC ported heads, amazing gas mileage and you could still get a hell of a lot out of it with that forged bottom end it has. Well, second thought I'd probalby just buy new ZO6
Do you live anywhere near me? I'd love to see that car of yours
-Chris

yeah the thing is a beast, at full boost (30lbs) and race gas i dyno'ed at 950 rear wheel horsepower believe it or not, i run 15lbs on a street tune with slicks just to make it drivable, so its not the most practical car, but thats what i have my 4 door family sedan for lol

And im up in CT, so no, but if your ever in the area let me know, I love having a reason to take this car out :)

I got a 93 eagle talon tsi. Its pretty fast with a best track time of 11.48 @128. I love cars. When i do get rid of this one I will most likely get a 03 cobra or a supra just cause the potential of the stock blocks being pushed to 900whp range.

i got a built little 5.0 mustang with a 150 shot of nitrous, stock shortblock, even that little car will do spin the tires HARD on the freeway on the juice in 3rd, aint got a damn thing on either of the muscle cars above but still fun and i'm young and broke (anyone want to buy me a single turbo supra?)
have a shitty VW rabbit as a daily beater as well, but i hate that car

your cobra makes my jaw drop bro! 950rwhp is more than i have ever seen a non turbo cobra put down, especially without nitrous!!!! thats crazy!

I'm getting an NSX after AIT school in the Army

Right now I've got a broke Nissan 240sx (spun a rod bearing) that I'm currently rebuilding the engine for; and my Lexus SC300 5-speed. It used to be turbocharged a few years ago; but I sold that stuff off.

Yeah the head work and cams really start to shine the higher you run the boost, and the blower i have is a competition series so its definately one of the faster ones around, although some people have put twin or single turbos in that are just sick.

My block can handle up to 1500hp but nitrous is still a little too rich for my blood, not to mention i had to swap out the stock IRS for a solid rear axle which is 10x more durable, and even that will only handle around 900rwhp, which is the reason i don't hit the track much :)

Supra's are sick, the only thing is they are so goddamn expensive for a 10 year old car. But a single turbo supra will smoke my stang after the initial 1/4 mile or so and they pull like a freight train throughout the band.

And just an FYI, the supra block is much more durable than the 03 cobra (cast iron). the 03 block is good for maybe 700hp at the crank for an extended period of time, but even then your lucky if you get 50,000 miles before the thing falls apart, trust me, i know from experiance.

If you are looking to build an engine, the best base i can think of for a mustang would be a 96-98 cobra aluminum block, which can be stroked out to 324 cubes and can actually handle more HP than an 03 with the right compression and boost (turbo or blower)

Your the smart one here, you probably go farther in 3 gallons of gas than my cobra in its entire 15 gallon tank. I'm lucky if i get 250 miles to a tank, and that's driving like a grandma.

True :) The automatic supras are doing quite well for 1/4 mile though. Just as well as any other domestic vehicle anyway.

I've seen the stock I6 handle over 1900hp. Upgraded internals but the block itself handled it fine. The hidden motor being the non-turbo version; like the one in my SC300. Pistons arent quite as strong (but enough for 900hp still) but the rods and crank are identical.

They are quite expensive for an older car, but they are pretty reliable at all power levels, have a very "easy-to-get-to" community, and very rare. Therefore, they are worth whatever the buyer will pay for it.

Marko had his 1520whp Supra for sale a couple months ago. Made that power on a Mustang dyno through a custom TH400. when the car was only making 1200whp or so, he ran a 8.65 @ 165 with stock suspension, full interior, etc including A/C, stereo, etc. Looked like a bone stock car other than the drag-lites and slicks on it.

Question though. What made you go with a blower instead of a turbo? They make turbokits for those Cobras now and they have a much more usable powerband

traded my moded 97 4runner for an 03 land rover discovery 2 while ago.. being moded.. it's an addiction.

Pontiacs (any GM now) don't have chips. You have to get them computer tuned so someone must have told you something wrong. It will still be a badass car either way but for an even more badass GTO, look at an 05 GTO if possible as they have the newer 6.0l LS2(400hp stock) engine instead of the 5.7l LS1 (350hp stock). Good news is these engines are underrated quite a bit from the factory so even though an 04 is rated at 350hp, it could actually have closer to 400hp. Theres several forums for gtos, LS x engines like Invalid Link Removed, Invalid Link Removed, and Invalid Link Removed

Right now my ride is a 1992 Dodge Stealth. Sad to say it is naturally aspirated...insurance was way outta my price range for the TT. Its a cool looking car though and a descent college ride until I graduate.

I second that on getting a new z06!! The new body style is so kick ass...not to mention the 427 small block!

 Im addicted to f-bodies

I'm allergic to them :D Everyone in this area has one and they are all the same. Seems that domestic owners around here don't know what style is; because they all get the same crappy rims, gaudy graphics (like tribal stripes or flames), and they all ride on stock suspension and look like big boats floating around. Oh and they all have the same mods: lid, catback, nitrous. And they all run like high 12s at 110 or so. Slow as fawk compared to what they want you to think it runs :)

And boy do they hate Supras. MAN do they hate them. Talkin smack about them all the time and they talk trash to any that drive around at the time. There was one running around about 6 months ago that had a downpipe, catback, and had done the wastegate-spring mod. Dynoed something around 400whp. Cost him about $750 lol.... the Fbody guys wouldnt believe it; even after he produced the dynochart for proof; and then promptly whooped their ass

Finally a thread I feel qualified to post in! Anyhow, 05 Mitsubishi Evolution MR
I did 3" exhaust from the turbo back with high flow cat, Helix intake, JDM MR BV, Zeal Function V6 coilovers, Walboro fuel pump and Dynoflash Ecutek.

Right now I have snow tires on her with the weather we have been having in the Northeast. Car rocks in the snow too!

So needless to say my friends will never ever let me live that one down

At work I drive a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer. And tonight a New Holland 8770 Tractor...deicing the roadways.:head:

Well i may have the same basic bolt ons(and a few i know no one else has) the nitrous is just till i can afford to do the things i really want.i can say im not the typical f-body owner and me personally i like supras. Over here there are still more mustangs than there are f-bodies but then the ricers are def on top now i think out here. I have respect for any fast car that was done with taste. i dont have any gay graphics on my car. i do plan to do some nice paintwork to it along with serious motor work including a turbo kit that will be fabricated by me and all the suspension i can buy for it. i allready have a nice lightwieght k-member waiting to go in(damn winter). but you know its exspensive and well the budget thing always gets in the way
