Study was done on women. I have no doubt it benefits them. I don't know if men will like such calorie restriction despite volume though. We need "density" in our food to feel satisfied.
You know somebody mentioned that there should be a dietary division between men and women; let men eat more protein-dense, fat-dense foods and limit carbs and women should do the opposite. Some people have gone so far as to say that men should have non-vegetarian diets and women should stick with lacto-vegetarian or at the very most, pescatarian diets.
