What’s the difference between using these different grips for seated dips?

As above, what’s the difference between these grips?

I injured my wrists a few years ago and they sometimes complain when I’m working out. If I’m going for overall tricep development how much does my choice of grip matter?
 
Grip position should not affect triceps recruitment. But triceps length does. Thats defined by angle of the shoulder:
Short - dips, press down, kickback
Middle- Close grip bench, lying extensions
Long- any overhead extensions

Choose whatever grip doesn't bother your wrist
 
I have bad wrists also and dips can be a killer on them if I don't get my grip right before starting, and if i'm a little off then usually my wrists quit out before I could get near failure in my triceps..
So in our case, just try to find the grip that gives you the least discomfort in your wrists and that will allow you to go hardest in the dips.
