WFL: Remember Jason Delucia?...and thoughts from the local scene.

Do you guys remember Jason Delucia from UFC 2? He fought at one of the local promotions in Boston, the WFL. He was memorably submitted by a Royce Gracie brutal armbar. He fought tonight against a local guy who is gunning for the UFC, and Delucia got pummelled.

I'm very impressed with the local scene. There are a lot of quality fighters around here. The event was interesting, and there were quite a few UFC vets there: Jorge Rivera, Joe Lauzon, Dan Lauzon and Gabriel Gonzaga. Gonzaga will be fighting at UFC 66.

...I'm drunk, so I guess I should stop babbling now.

Yeah I definitely remember De Lucia, he was pretty decent in Pancrase. I remember him breaking his leg in a disgusting manner, can't remember who he was fighting it was during the UFC dark days(23-29).
