little background here ... had a fantastic workout this morning and it came time for my last (and far and away favorite) exercise .. deadlifts from the floor ... i like doing deads last because i psych myself up by saying "this is it .. the last exercise .. give everything i've got and then just get the **** outta here ... no sense in not going balls out" ... so i did a few warmups then blasted into a set of 405 .. banged out 8 reps like i was deadlifting the bar and stopped at 8 because i wanted to go heavier ... 455 .. bam 4 reps no problem .. again stopped at 4 so i could go heavier ... i said **** it 500 .. lets fucking do it ... weighed in today at 194 so if i could get 500 i would be revered as a god (by myself lol)
put on Rancid's "sidekick" on my ipod .. turned it to 11 and got in the fucking zone .. approached the bar (now with 5 plates and 2.5's on either side) ... kept my shoulders slightly behind the bar .. rounded my shoulders ... arched my back slightly ... looked straight ahead .. and began the pull .. i was driving so hard through my heels i literally felt like i was going to shoot through the floor .. i pulled for what seemed like an hour (in reality only a few seconds) but was the greatest struggle of my life ... through sheer will and determination and utter anger i pulled through the lift and stood up straight .. triumphantly holding up 500lbs .. i then dropped it
i IMMEDIATELY felt incredibly nauseous and began to burp .. not a normal burp .. a very very bad burp .. i knew what was coming but unfortunately would have been closer to the bathroom if i was outside the gym ... could not have been any farther from it .. i had no choice other than the run to the corner and vomit my tits off
now everyone who was in the gym was already staring at my because i let out an all mighty man-scream while performing the lift (i couldn't help it at all) and all those same people saw me unload on the corner .. one of the trainers came over and asked if i was ok .. i collapsed and told him i was fine .. just a bit winded .. he did not look happy i told him just give me a second and i would clean it up and that i was really sorry .. he told me not to worry about it and relax they'd take care of it ... after a few minutes i struggled to my feet got my stuff and exited the gym
now the gym i belong to unfortunately is a pussy ass new york sports club because its close to my apartment and there are NO hardcore gyms around .. the closest requires changing subways and would take about 30 minutes to get to .. i just don't have that kind of time .. i have no doubt that everyone in there was COMPLETELY freaked out and had probably never seen some one vomit from exertion in the gym
